4.0 out of 5 stars essential knowledge for understanding relationships
Although I was skeptical when I began reading this book, I found it to be accurate and insightful.Based on the premise that every birth date is linked to one of the 52 playing cards, one's destiny and personality characteristics can be described. 1.0 out of 5 stars Love Cards
This book is amazing. Look up the birthday of any person and see how things are between the 2 of you. It is uncanny how accurate it has been for me. It's an innocent enough thing to ask someone when their birthday is. Then to look up what this book says. It takes a lot of stress off because it is describing things and I don't have to take things that happen in the...

4.0 out of 5 stars essential knowledge for understanding relationships, April 25, 1998

This review is from: Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals about You and Your Personal Relationships (Paperback)
Although I was skeptical when I began reading this book, I found it to be accurate and insightful.Based on the premise that every birth date is linked to one of the 52 playing cards, one's destiny and personality characteristics can be described. Variables such as one's ruling planet and other cosmic influences allow for the changes encountered throughout one's lifetime. By understanding the individual motivations and desires, and studying the individual's relationship to others, problems likely to surface in a relationship can be addressed or circumvented. Amazingly every person I applied this to fit their birth card and I was able to see the basis for their actions.Similar to realizing the differences described by Meyers-Briggs interpretations, Camp's astute descriptions aid us in achieving more harmonious relationships. This book would make a great wedding present for any young couple starting out or for older couples open to improving on many years of marriage. For those new to a relationship, a glimpse of future pitfalls might give them just cause to run while a perfect match might convince them to quit shopping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eerily accurate... explained a lot too!, September 27, 2000
This review is from: Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals about You and Your Personal Relationships (Paperback)
I first picked up this amazing book back in '97, and out of curiosity I looked up my comaptibility with an older (by 14 yrs) man I had a major crush on. I didn't know why I had a crush on him, but after reading about the cards between us, I got chills! We had Venus cards between us, and that meant that we had most likely been lovers in a previous life! After that I was hooked! It explained why I had the crushes I did (usually because of strong Venus connections) and why I had animosity toward certain people in my life (Mars connections, which meant we were probably enemies in a past life too!) This book is fantastic! It explains so much. Robert Camp really knows what he's talking about!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Cards; a journey in self awareness & self acceptance, July 12, 2000
By
This review is from: Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals about You and Your Personal Relationships (Paperback)
When first introduced to this book by a friend, I was quite sceptical; especially as the interpretation seemed to depend only upon inputing the day and month of one's birth; instead of all the additional particulars required by most other systems. After finding my card; the "ace of clubs" in the birthday chart on the back page of the book, I began to read the interpretation with growing amazement. Actually, had I not known myself reasonably well; having lived 52 years and been a student of spiritual and metaphysical thought for over 30 years; I might have missed some of the subtle but profound insights that the book describes about the nature of an ace of clubs; but from the first reading of my card interpretation I was hooked and amazed! I realized intuitively that no system could be this accurate unless it were founded on some kind of Truth or Science of unknown origin. I had to know more. I have been studying this system for about a year now and have found the system to have profound depth. In my opinion this system is highly sophisticated and will be one of the truly useful and practical systems of self=understanding for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend Love Cards, and the companion book, Destiny Cards. for anyone interested in greater awareness, greater self=understanding and greater self-acceptance. I also found it indespensible as a tool for understanding the nature of relationships and the particular energies that operate between people. Very enlightening!

5.0 out of 5 stars Uncanny, May 7, 2005
The only woman I had ever fallen in love with, in all the years leading to her and all the years since, was described in this book as the best possible connection for marriage, likely with a past-life connection. Regardless if whether or not you believe in past lives, astrology, fate or divine intervention, the only thing I can say is that in this case, the book was dead on. The reason I know it was accurate is not because of the way I felt then. It's because of the way I feel now, seven years since I first saw her and six years since I blew the chance to be with her. The feeling that she is the one for me has never left me, despite my many relationships since. She's still the one in my heart. And the only reason I can think of why that is is the very description of our connection described in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for everyone who finds people interesting!, October 2, 1998

Buy this book. Even if you don't read it, you will have a handy reference to review whenever you have a relationship problem or question. This book describes you and your friends personalities in regard to their birthdate with amazingly consistent accuracy. It uncovers the reasons we are in certain relationships and what we can learn from them. It also gives the best and easiest to apply advice, that I have come across, on how to work toward a successful and fulfilling relationship. In addition to all that, this book is just downright entertaining for anyone interested in people and personalities!

5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate and worth its weight in gold, May 21, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Cards: What Your Birthday Reveals about You and Your Personal Relationships (Paperback)
This is the most accurate system to find out how future trends will play out. You can predict trends on a daily, monthly and yearly basis, and in the advanced version, right down to the moment.

I've studied astrology for years, and this book beats it by a country mile in terms of being on target.

I have only one gripe, and that mainly has to do with differences between tropical and siderial astrology:

Everyone has a "Birth Card" and a "Planetary Ruling Card" - both of which are needed to ascertain your personality and characteristics, as well as forecast future trends. The Birth Card is based on your date of birth; the Planetary Ruling Card is based on the ruling planet of your sun sign.

For example, if you were born on January 1, (Capricorn in the Tropical zodiac) your Birth Card will be a King of Spades. The Planetary Ruling Card comes up as 5 of Clubs. This is because in the Life Spread of the King of Spades (p. 260 in Love Cards), the Saturn card is the 5 of Clubs. Saturn "rules" Capricorn.

If you use the Siderial zodiac, which is more accurate because it is based on fixed star positions and not the equinoxes, (which move), then January 1 comes under Sagittarius. This changes the Planetary Ruling Card to the Jupiter card in the Life Spread - that is, the 10 of Spades.

I have found when using the Siderial zodiac that this system becomes much more accurate. My dad never fit his PRC of the 7 of Diamonds, but when adjusted to the Siderial zodiac, the PRC 7 of Hearts fit him to a "T".

Be sure to get the other book, Destiny Cards, because you will need it to do interpretations of trends. Also, get the book that these were based on - Florence Campbell's "Sacred Symbols of the Ancients".

5.0 out of 5 stars Uncanny Accuracy, August 1, 2005
What an amazing book. I bought it on the advice of a friend and was amazed at the "accuracy" of the information it revealed about all sorts of relationships. If you believe in Karmic Connections, past life connections and that there is a "cosmic plan" for people then this book is a must read

I like every part of the book...it seems very accurate and insightful...even with relationships...I did notice while comparing relationships...the 2 of diamonds were wrong...it's a misprint...it is exactly like the 2 of spades...so, if the author is reading this review...please fix this...thank you.
