5.0 out of 5 stars Love a la Carte by Haruka Minami
Another manga I have bought mainly for the drawing style. It's about 6 young guys of a college photo club. Two of them are just a couple and another two are a possible couple, Izumi and Shino'oka. Shino'oka is a sophomore college student and he has joined the photo club cause he likes Izumi, a freshman. Izumi is a very naive character, and in the beginning doesn't...

3.0 out of 5 stars Main characters not main... LOL
The first story, about the characters on the cover, is kinda cute, but I prefer the other couple (the president & the perv XP) SOOOOOOO much more.

The main is cute, but they don't hold more than that. The president & the perv were more deeply developed than the main couple... I like how the two of them are shown and how they interact with each other...

5.0 out of 5 stars Love a la Carte by Haruka Minami, November 23, 2007

Another manga I have bought mainly for the drawing style. It's about 6 young guys of a college photo club. Two of them are just a couple and another two are a possible couple, Izumi and Shino'oka. Shino'oka is a sophomore college student and he has joined the photo club cause he likes Izumi, a freshman. Izumi is a very naive character, and in the beginning doesn't understand what "like" means for Shino'oka, but after spending some days during a summer camp in the country house of Shino'oka, with the other students, he starts to look in a different way to Shino'oka, and then Shino'oka, tired to wait for Izumi, takes the matter in hand.

As always there is a top, Shino'oka, and a bottom, Izumi, like in all the "classical" yaoi story, but in this story the top is really young and not so different from his bottom.

This is really a sex, and sex and more sex manga. The story is pretty nonexistent, but in some scenes the graphic is beautiful, even if, sexually speaking, I have found more interesting Kei and Taishi story (look at the birthday gift of Kei to Taishi).

Also the oneshot story about the guy who has a crush on one of his highschoolmate and of the other student who blackmail him is pretty interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Erotic and sexy Yaoi. Do not be fooled by the cute cover., September 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Love a La Carte (Paperback)
Love a la Carte is all about sex, pages and pages of it. So if you like cute boys and gorgeous young men (3 couples here) doing it, get this. And the sex is kinky, erotic, hot and of course explicit. Camera, corset, skimpy brief, collar, you get the idea....It is a sex feast.
There is hardly any plot but believe me this Yaoi does not need it and is not dull at all. Far from it! Even when they are not doing it, the boys' interaction is very lively. The translation is one fine job as the words are hot and sexy. The artwork is very lively and pretty. This is much much better than Level-C!

Well, anyhow, it is a good book, and unlike most of Minami Haruka's mangas, this one is completely focused on the same group throughout all of the book, instead of having all the oneshots about different people who are totally unrelated.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that good.., August 5, 2008
This review is from: Love a La Carte (Paperback)
I didnt think that it was really that good, the whole manga is very confusing. In the first few pages you are introduced to so many people that look the same expect one may have dark hair and the other light. There is not really much of a plot and a lot of sex(Which is awesome) But it just kind of got boring with all the sex after a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, my!!! Won't disappoint., January 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Love a La Carte (Paperback)
The other reviews have adequately described Love a La Carte. There are several stories about the photography club, on a summer trip, at a party, a day at a hotel and a memory. There are several couples in the stories. If you're looking for a lot of romping around you won't be disappointed. There are a lot of explicit scenes.
