5.0 out of 5 stars By Far the Best Ever!
I became addicted to Rebecca Brandewyn after "No Gentle Love" because of her adventurous plots and uncommon sexual relationships. "Love Cherish Me" is full of twists and turns that make the reader feel as if they have truly been with Wolf and Storm through the years of their lives. I've never cried while reading a book before, but I did this one. Brandewyne is a...

5.0 out of 5 stars My first romance novel and one of the best ever, November 24, 2002
This novel literally moved me to tears. Storm, the leading lady of the story, is a spoiled Southern belle at first, completely sheltered. She meets a mysterious man called Wolf who is part Native American (or so he says) after an incident leaves her alone in the prairie. Storm slyly gets the gruff and resistant Wolf to help her, and in the process they fall in love. Storm is meanwhile transformed into a woman who can take care of herself. Then the story changes gears, and she is put back in her old life-but Wolf reappears and changes her world again. Learning Wolf's own story is just as interesting and moving. He has been so hardened, yet learned to love again. Beautiful!

The transitions of the characters of Storm and Wolf are amazing and so touching. This book hooked me on romance novels twenty years ago. I laughed, cried and in the end was left very satisfied. This novel is a gift to the romance industry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A love story to capture a young woman's heart, October 3, 2001
By A Customer
This is a love story to capture a young woman's heart and hold it 16 yrs later. It is a story that is so unpredictible not like most romances. It is full of laughter and tears....and you literally do both. Wolf is a man women see as pure strength! And Storm is a woman who will survive! One of my favorite parts is where Storm dances in her red dress, God to have that freedom and have your man desire you as Wolf did her! I have read hundreds of romance novels and this one far surpasses every one! Thank you Rebecca Bradewyne for giving me strength thru your words and for giving me a love story to last me a life time! Oh and I have given away every romance novel i have ever read except this one, and i have kept it with me thru 16 yrs of love, laughter, and tears.....once again Thankyou Rebecca!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, cherish me-i'd search the world for another copy., December 7, 1997

This review is from: Love, Cherish Me (Paperback)
1986 was the year I picked up this captivating romance novel.I remember thinking "lord this is a thick one" I opened the cover and from the very first paragraph,I was inthrawed with the characters and the plot.

The author took you from High sociity to the pits of hell, the untamed west.

This so captivated my imagination that in the years since,I have not forgotten this book(which i completed in 5 days).
I would have named my last child Storm,if only "HE" had been a girl.<G>

This character went through so much and the way she handled herself, struck a cord with me.
To survive and to thrive is the best revenge ever.

Thank you Rebecca for your words, they take us back to where it all started....in the hearts of all who have loved so intensly ..........

3.0 out of 5 stars starts out well,, May 8, 2005

It seems that one day the girl is used to servants and living on a plantation, the next she has very rapidly become used to things such as guns, being on the run and the type of life that goes with that, being alone with a man and then living and conversing with indians. On top of that she seems to become part of the indians overnight and even gives birth like them (she must not scream or even cry out, etc) and all of this she embraces with hardly any trouble. My liking for the hero was on and off, sometimes he treated the heroine very lovingly and then the next instant he's leaving her and their son to go off and fight or do whatever it is he thinks is more important. I expected a better book, such as Brandewynes "The Outlaw Hearts" which was very well written and very flowing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not only a good story but superbly written., July 23, 2007
This review is from: Love, Cherish Me (Paperback)
I loved this book, I really did. It was a bit confusing at first with the first chapter. It just jumps into the middle of the story and then the rest of the book is a flashback - but afterwards I appreciated how well done the technique was. Not every author can pull it off as well as Brandewyne has done and not ruin the rest of the story. I really appreciated her effort, which she talks about in her note to the reader at the end, to show how Texas and its inhabitants, white, Mexican, and Indian, truly were at the time setting of the novel. I have to admit, LOL, that I was a little frustrated at first that she put so much detail into describing the land and its history but then I realized that not everyone is a Texan like me who would know it! I loved the character of Storm. She has real growth as she starts out this whining little girl (well, she is 16!) who faints or weeps at the slightest provocation and turns into a woman who can take care of herself but makes some really hard decisions. Life (or the author, LOL) throws some really hard curve balls at her but she does the best she can. The only thing that I would say bad about this book would be that almost every guy except Wolf is a lecher and I got tired of how many times she came close to being raped. Wolf, too, was written well. His torment and anguish as well as his love for her and his own growth just leapt off the page. I would definitely recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't get any better!, June 14, 1999
By A Customer
Thank you so much to Rebecca Brandewyne for an awesome book. I read this book when I was in high school after my sister went on and on about it. I have sinced passed it around telling people you've GOT TO READ THIS! Unfortunately my book is pretty tattered now. I have searched book stores for another one. I can't tell you how excited I was to find it at Amazon.com. Thank You!

Never has characters like Wolf, Storm and Chance captivated me in such a profound way. My second child was going to be Chance but a friend took that. Instead he is Chase.

There are very few books that you keep around so every so ofter when that urge comes, you pull it out and experience it all over again. This book is definitely a keeper and never to be forgotten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it !!!!, February 8, 2008
Storm and Wolf are one of the best all time couples
My mom read this book long ago and loved it. I was in the mood for a great romance, and asked mom if she had any ideas she sent me this book and I loved it. Being a wager on a poker game is not really a great way to find your love but in Storms case it worked
Wolf being the gunsliging El Lobo and Storm being the Southern belle of 5 counties and me falling in love with both characters makes for one of the best love stories I have ever read (side note to my mom ... Thanks for sharing this book with me)
the whole book was a great read and a keeper I'll read it again just to feel the feelings I had while reading the book the first time and hopefully be able to pass it on to my own daughter.
I don't want to give to much of the book away for those that haven't read it yet But the very first page is HOT HOT HOT I suggest you read it cause I have never started a book with that much passion Not only will you feel the love of these two you will also feel the pain and sorrow they go through
