This review is from: I Love China: A Companion Book to D Is for Doufu (Paperback)
This is a nice book for kids who are studying Chinese or learning about Chinese culture. I am an ESOL teacher who works with mainly Chinese students. It is nice to have books around that contain Chinese culture in them. I have to know the culture and would love to know more about the characters and language. I Love China contains some explanations about how Chinese characters were created and how they have changed over the years. It is respectful about Traditional characters used by the people of Taiwan and simplified characters used on the mainland of China. My students are interested in the book too.
