This is not from my era and I'm not ashamed to say it. After watching a behind the music-esque documentary of Ms Champagne King, I could instantly remember my mother singing this song earlier in my youth with such enthusiasm and life that it was a fond classic even though I knew nothing about the song beyond the hook. This has made its way into my old school hits repertoire for good reason. (I hate calling this old school cause it sounds so new to me) It just transports a listener back into the passion and synths of disco. Watching my father "get down" to this song with the brightest of smiles on his face sealed the deal that this was a good buy.
