Let me explain my rating of this book. I think it is a five star book for men to give to women. Most men aren't as romantic as women would like, and this gives women the opportunity to communicate when they would like a little more romance . . . and of what sort.

On the other hand, many women would not feel comfortable giving this book to a man because of some of the intimate coupons involved. So I graded it as a three star book for women. Women can turn this into a five star book by simply cutting out the coupons they are not comfortable giving out to the man in their life.

Averaging the two, I arrived at a four-star rating for the book. I hope that's clear.

The coupons in the book entitle the recipient to hand them to the giver, with no expiration date. There are 60 coupons in all, enough for one a week for over a year. But most couples would use them more slowly than that.

The coupon book opens with these words, "This coupon book is my gift to you to thank you for being my friend and my lover." "These coupons never expoire and are redeemable at any time by me."

What's covered?

A lot of the items are pure romance, such as candle-lit dinners for two, an evening of dancing, a second honeymoon, hours of cuddling, and week-end getaways. Some are more symbolic, like ten or eleven pounds of chocolate. Others connect to intimate relations such as having the gratification of your fantasy, instant satisfaction, and doing something you both consider naughty. It is these coupons that will make many women uncomfortable giving the book to men. The final category are coupons for just being considerate such as money for a shopping spree, sleeping in late, breakfast in bed, and a day to goof off.

For the more expensive coupons (for the giver), the recipient of the book gets to pick part of how it will be done (like where) while the coupon book giver gets to pick something else (like when or how much is spent). I think those coupons will lead to the most happiness, because both people will be enjoying them.

One of the benefits that a man will get from giving this book is that he will find out what the lady in his life finds romantic. One of the coupons even lets the recipient pick an item from one of the author's books on this subject. You also get instructions for how to get a free on-line newsletter about romantic ideas. Then, you can simply offer to do those things you get coupons for in the future, or you can make make up additional coupons to give out.

For women, undoubtedly many men will favor the intimate coupons, but you may be surprised to find you have a secret romantic who likes some of the more feminine things as well. Who knows? You may even open up some new doors to romance that neither of you would have considered before buying this book.

I suspect that many people have ideas about romance that are not contained in these coupons. Ask your loved one to tell you about her or his favorite ways to enjoy romance, and be sure to do those things as well.

Before buying or giving this book, I suggest that you think about the five most romantic things that you like to do. Then, see if they are similar to the items I listed above. If they are, this book will help. If not, I suggest that you create your own version of this book.

Put a little more romance in your life, until the fires for you and your love are stoked just the way you like them to be!

For everyone who's in love, these love coupons are the perfect gift! Beware though, for the coupons never expire and you the giver promise to deliver the goods, be it a romantic dinner, an oil massage, a bubble bath, chocolate kisses or a good old romp in the sack with the works! So give with a sense of love, fun & adventure! I only wish that that someone who has my heart will spot this and will give it to me... as a gesture of how much she loves me and wants to do everything with me. But hey, you guys enjoy it!

My husband ranks this as one of his all-time favorite gifts-the idea more than the content (he just hangs on to the coupons and hasn't redeeemed more than a few...). One of the great things about this book is that there are lines for personal notes so that each coupon can be personalized, perhaps by adding the names of restaurant suggestions, changing the content to better reflect your tastes(e.g. video rental date instead of going out)or giving intimate suggestions. The coupon ideas are inspiring and run the gamet of junk food to sexual fantasy fulfillment.

I had a lot of fun using these coupons. Most were useful but some were a bit out there. Also, too many of the ideas dealt with sex -- as though the author doesnt know the difference between sex and love. Still, I enjoyed using some of the coupons for our date nights.

Even though Valentine's Day may be a little corny, it still is a good opportunity to remember how much someone really matters to you. These little tokens of indebted affection are good reminders to show someone you care. They are particularly important because they don't just last for the odd holiday to remember this, but make you take time out to be together in an intimate way. While it may seem inconvenient at a hectic time, you'll realise that it's just the kind of stimulation you need to remember how much you love someone. It's a great reminder for busy people that aren't always able to show they care.

These coupons are a nice way to probe your spouse in more romantic ventures than he/(normally she) indulges in. Some times our partners want to do some of the romantic stuff, but are hesitant, shy or restricted in imagination. I think these wonderful, simple coupons can go a long way in situations like these.
