Book Description

In this eighth book of the series, former CIA assassin Donovan Creed finds himself at odds with mob-connected Tony Spumoni and practically everyone else he knows, including his boss Darwin, lover Gwen, daughter Kimberly, protégé Callie, co-worker Lou, physician Doc Howard, assorted board members, terrorists, and even a zoo full of angry monkeys!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love his books! (PLEASE START AT THE BEGINNING) July 8, 2011
By lhm
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is book EIGHT in the CREED SERIES. I noticed some negative reviews on some of his earlier books, luckily I read the the first books in the series and didn't start with number 5, 6, or 7, (START AT THE BEGINNING PEOPLE). I made the mistake of reading "Lethal Experiment" first, but enjoyed it so much I went looking for more. It's much better if you read them in order: (1.) Lethal People (2.) Lethal Experiment (3.) Saving Rachel (4.) Now & Then (5.) Wish List (6.) A Girl Like You
(7.) Vegas Moon (8.) The Love You Crave.

I love his books, and yet never heard of him until I received my Kindle at Christmas. His books are (LAUGH OUT LOUD) funny, even in public, which I have many times since I started reading them and that's a head turner believe me. If you need to be lifted his books are fantastic to make you forget all the problems in your life. I read occasional pages to my husband and he even laughs, which is soooo rare.

For the money his books are a most entertaining purchase, as I've paid much more for a lot less.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Love You Carve OMG !!! July 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok so I will admit that I am a Die Hard Locke Fan. As a friend of mine has said we would read the Yellow Pages if it was written by John Locke. But I can honestly state that I loved reading this book and am disappointed that I am done. If I could show a little self restraint and pace myself I would be able to enjoy longer periods with my favorite bad guy Donovan Creed.

So if you haven't read any Locke start at the beginning so you can become immersed in the characters and come to care about them as a kind of dysfunctional family. Don't we all have at least a little dysfunction in all our families. Thank goodness not to this extent.

And to John Locke thank you for the pleasure of reading your tales. I have loved every minute.

5.0 out of 5 stars In-Creed-ulous Locke July 11, 2011
By LnBen
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
So,you're a Donovan Creed fan. You follow every one of his adventures, and you are pretty sure you know where he is headed. Think again, my friend. You are dealing with the mind of John Locke here. What makes you think you have any idea where Locke is taking Creed this time!
In "The Love You Crave",our favorite psychotic still has a doomsday chip in his head and a murderous chip on his shoulder. But in a beautiful mobius-strip like move, Locke spins all the past Creed novels together and throws them out there into a totally unexpected and absolutely brilliant plot twist. You will never see it coming until it's right there in front of you...and you still won't believe it.
To give any details of the plot would be spoiling the fun. All the "beloved" characters are there, but not in the rolls you think they should play. The sex is as good as ever. There's "backhanded" humor galore!
"The Love You Crave" has both Donovan Creed and John Locke at their absolute best. 5 Stars aren't enough!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Locke you Love and Crave! July 24, 2011
By Saffie
Format:Kindle Edition
Having read all the previous books in the Donovan Creed series I was a little apprehensive that it might have run out of steam in THE LOVE YOU CRAVE, but I'm pleased to say that it's quite the opposite. This is definitely the best so far. All the old characters are there but with a few great surprises. Not only have the characters been further developed but also so it seems has Locke's writing. There are more twists in this one than the previous Creed adventures and the usual amount of graphic sex, violence and witty humour that is Locke's trademark. Hard to put down and I can't wait for the next instalment. If you haven't read the previous books I do recommend reading those first, but this still works as a stand-alone novel. At this price it really is an absolute steal!

By Kim
Format:Kindle Edition
I've read ALL of John Locke's books and have never been disappointed, even when I read his Western Series {not a big western person} but couldn't wait for the next book in the series.

I'll forever look forward to his books.

Great work John, keep on writing & I'll keep reading.

BIG thumbs up.

4.0 out of 5 stars great series March 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoy the Donovan Creed series; I believe it is all cyber novels through Amazon with no printed editions available, and the novels are quite brief compared to typical printed novels, but the series is fun and a little crazy to read. I mean, really, who would think they would identify and root for the main protagonist who happens to be a professional assassin and a lover of beautiful women.....but who also is a tender and loving father and dedicated and loyal friend to a very few others. It's so unreal that it's fun to just go with it and enjoy the ride--kind of thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% pure entertainment July 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved every word on every page.... Wow! This author doesn't mess around with unnecessary fluff.
I just finished this book and it was entertaining throughout. I even learned some interesting things about a female condition, new medical equipment and money making schemes.
You can't go wrong with this story, it will leave you craving more.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dissappointed August 11, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have loved all the other Locke books, but this one is off the wall. Convuluted and too weird. He should stick to assissin assignments and leave Kimberly out of it; except to bring some normalcy into Creed's otherwise demented life, but that is too late now as she in the trade and loves it. Ugh. Houston

What is up with the covers on John Locke's books?
There's a scene in "The Love You Crave" which describes the cover almost perfectly. Same case with "Vegas Moon." The cover of "Saving Rachel" doesn't have a woman in boots, but a woman crouching inside a clear box. This is also described in that book.
