Rusty Crutcher - Beautiful Sax Music, January 28, 2012

I have a fairly wide range of musical tastes and am a sax player myself. I enjoy rhythm & blues/rock 'n roll and jazz. I also enjoy slower and more melodic ambient stuff without all the electronica tossed in. But, it's hard to find much in this arena that works without putting me to sleep.
I ran across one of Rusty Crutcher's pieces called "Sweet Dreams" on a sampler CD, produced by some obscure outfit. I had never heard of this guy, but I liked this beautiful piece of music so much, I went and purchased this CD album from Amazon. Rusty Crutcher has his own style and is a master of the instrument. Whispering low tones and cascading altissimo, peel the stress of the day away. Add a glass of wine and you've got a fine start on the evening.
I really enjoyed this entire album. Highly recommended if you like this style of music.
