doors again, December 23, 2007
This review is from: Love/Death/Travel (Audio CD)
I love the Doors but I don't need 3 sets of their work re-arranged. I thought this was live or something in it was new but it's just another collection of their studio work. If you have all their albums, you already have this.

At it again..., January 13, 2008
This review is from: Love/Death/Travel (Audio CD)
Yes, The Doors are back at it again, releasing the same songs in yet another new thematic package. This one is to do with...love, death and travel.
What are they thinking? It boggles the mind...what's the target audience for this release? Are there so many people that will drop this much money for an incomplete package of Doors songs? And wow...the surviving Doors hand-picked some of the tracks! Again!
If you are mildy interested in The Doors at all, stay away from this one. If you want most of the recorded output of this great band, go after the Perception box (if you want a box with extras), or else just get all of the albums individually (which might be cheaper). And they still haven't released CDs of the last two albums they recorded without Jim Morrison. Obviously, they're waiting another 10 years to do that in another new package.
It's laughable how many redundant releases they have. And don't be fooled by the three 'unreleased' tracks on this...they're just new remixes, and you can download them elsewhere. And they're nothing hot, just The Doors cashing in with some new names. Definitely not recommended.

Not your runofthemill box set!!, September 20, 2009
This review is from: Love/Death/Travel (Audio CD)
How sophmoronic of people to say this collection of Doors songs is not good. What I can't stand is a box set that compiles each album to exact measurments and calls it an original box set. I have this one and Perception and while they both are not perfect I believe Love Death Travel to have the purist better sounding and best compilation. The DVD is a let down but I didn't buy this for the DVD. Great job Doors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
