5.0 out of 5 stars HQ2 - THE remix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, February 19, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Love Don't Cost a Thing / Let's Get Loud (Audio CD)
This Maxi/12" Single for Jenny Lo's UK #1 single 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' is rather pleasent. If anything, i'm glad it includes the fab remix by HQ2, who also remixed Feelin' So Good & Waiting For Tonight and got very good results! The tracks are:-

Love Don't Cost A Thing-

1. HQ2 Club Vocal Remix (10.54) -- The 11-minute nearly dance remix that is great from beginning to end. It will leave you wanting more and surely leave you sweating and you'll have shaken your butt off the dance floor! Easy the best remix for this song -- 6/5 (What more can you give it?!)

2. Main Rap #1 feat. Puffy (3.36) -- After the HQ2 remix I was still expecting some great results more this remix. As I thought the HQ2 remix beyond what I expected it to be and beyond brilliant. This remix was pleasent but nothing more. It took a while to get us too and sounds weird compared to the original. The rap by Puffy is amazing -- 4/5

3. RJ Schoolyard Remix featuring Fat Joe (4.19) -- Everyone has said Fat Joe fails to deliver his rap on this mix, but how???! It's excellent and I loved it at first. I gone off it a bit beacuse it was overplayed. It was available on the J to The L-O: The Remixes CD & she EVEN invited it back to the new single 'Get Right' so it's been a bit overplayed but it's OK -- 4/5

4. Full Intention Remix (7.15) -- It's a long mix so the first thing that comes into everyone's mind is club -- right??? I wouldn't describe it as club, it's rather slow & a funky groove and has a 70's feel to it somewhat but it brings back the five or six star ratings! -- 5/5

Let's Get Loud-

5. Pung Pow Club Mix (8.08) -- Does anyone know who actually remixed this?! It's been listed by Castle Hill Club -- It's been listed as Kung Pow -- even Pablo Flores may have remixed it!? Nevertheless it's a great remix! There is a edit which clocks at 3.57 and a extended edit which clocks at 5.29, on the J to tha L-O: The Remixes album. Check out the Matt & Vivo remixes too! -- 5/5

5.0 out of 5 stars Jennifer's Bling Don't Cost A Thing!, March 1, 2001
This review is from: Love Don't Cost a Thing / Let's Get Loud (Audio CD)
With Jennifer's new album, she didn't just grow with the music but also with the remixes, because these remixes are by far some of the best. This single has a bit of everything on here, and the remixes are so fab.

Track Listing:

1.) Love Don't Cost A Thing (HQ2 Club Vocal Mix) (10:54) = This is by far some of Hex Hectors best work. This remix is one of the darkest ones, I have heard in a long time. At the begining of this 10:54 journey, Hex reversed Jennifer's Voice and she sound like she's Indian, it just sounds so great yet creepy. This remix is a great dance track because it has every beat from a to z.

2.) Love Don't Cost A Thing (Main Rap #1 Featuring Puffy) (3:36) = This remix sounds really R&B yet still lives up to the original. There is one thing I have a comment on about this remix and that is that Puffy could have did a way better job than what he did. After the part were Jennifer repeats "Cost A THING" puffy starts to rap.

3.) Love Don't Cost A Thing (RJ Schoolyard Mix Featuring Fat Joe) (4:19) = This is the track I am really dissapointed with because this isn't the original remix. The original remix with this same beat actually has Fat Joe Rapping. This is my favorite remix and Fat Joe isn't one this version, I don't know if this was purposely done or accidently, but I think its sad because people were expecting the correct remix with Fat Joe's incredible rap part. Don't worry Peep's If you wan't it that bad like me, you will by the international version that actually features Fat Joe.

4.) Love Don't Cost A Thing (Full Intention Club Mix) (7:15) = This remix sound like it came right out of the 70/80's from a Disco dance floor. They edited Jennifer's voice a lot on this remix but it sound great and is good to dance to.

5.) Let's Get Loud (Kung Pow Club Mix) (8.09) = This track is featured on the import of "Let's get Loud" which contains even better remixes than this one, check it out. This is a great remix though, I would prefere a radio edit but I learn to apreciate every jennifer Lopez Remix.

"let's Get Loud" with some of the hottest remixes ever, because your love them so much you'll relize that "Love don't cost a Thing". Is you be feelin' this song, you need be buying this fab track.

5.0 out of 5 stars for jlo fans, July 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Don't Cost a Thing / Let's Get Loud (Audio CD)
if you are a jennifer lopez fan this is for you, if you are a On The 6 and Jlo lover this is for you, if you love the song and/or video this is for you. if you dont like jennifer lopez but like the song and are into remixs then you might start liking her alot after you get this. this single is great, i love it. if you like the video and love the dance break than you will have to get this to feed your need to hear the full (remix) version that the vedio shows at the climax. (track three) this is the one you hear for a few second during the dance break, if you get this play this one first. one thing, on the back cover it reads "03 RJ Schoolyard Mix Featuring Fat Joe (4:19)" but i dont hear Fat Joe on this one it's just Jenn. another thing like in the video during the dance break you hear a very small puase and then the intro remix music and then you hear the chorse right, well on this one you dont need to worry about the break in the middle of the song like in the video its just the whole song with no change of beat (unlike the video and like the cd and radio version) first track is long, there is a three min. intro but it doesn't seem as long when you listen to it all the way that track time is 10:54, you will like this track last but at first you wont but as you get used to the new verions of this song you will llike it more in the end. track two, this is a hot track becasue p.diddy does a rap break. the lyrics and rap order is much like in the video, instead of the dance break you hear the rap BUT the the music on this is different (duh, like in all) im just saying that you shouldn't worry about the rap taking out lyrics or chores. track four is cool at first you might not like this one and the first one because they will sound similar but as you listen more and more you will see that they are not similar at all but you will think they are because it's a new version and you wont hear the differance since its all new to the ear. track five. this is the second best reason why to get this, thsi track is the sexiest track you've hear (maybe not from jenn) but this is the best.

you will love this cd, this is a hot cd but you also need to have Jlo.
