When A Woman's Fed Up, June 14, 2009
This review is from: Love Don't Live Here Anymore (Paperback)
Nyree is from a prestigious owner of Shaw Enterprises in Gary, Indiana. She falls for Malachi deeply with her heart but not with her mind. They say that love is blind when you are in a relationship, but on the outside looking in, Nyree was the blind person. Malachi is not the one for Nyree and she doesn't realize the truth until after they are married. It appears that Malachi was not the man that she presumed him to be. He begins to show his true colors by becoming a conniving, lying, and stealing DOG! As the relationship goes from bad to worse, Nyree is forced to make a tough decision - will she leave or is it too late?
"Love Don't Live Here Anymore" by Jahzara is definitely a must read novel. She takes the reader on a realistic journey about a typical couple, Nyree and Malachi, and their bonifide relationship. I found myself falling in love with this novel as Nyree is a courageous character that endures so much drama from one man. Jahzara fills the reader with much drama in the novel that can be realistic to any reader.
I really enjoyed reading this book and will continue to look for more books by Jahzara in the near future. She really kept me wanting more from this novel and I love you writing style. Keep up the good work and bring more!

What Happens When You're Tired Of All The B.S., May 21, 2009
This review is from: Love Don't Live Here Anymore (Paperback)
Nyree Shaw is the daughter of the well known, wealthy owner of Shaw Enterprises in Gary, Indiana. When she meets Malachi, she knows he really isn't what she's looking for, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Malachi has the looks and wit to charm the pants off any woman; however, without much going for him besides living with his mama, he decides to join the Navy, hoping that Nyree will disagree with his decision. Nyree, though, thinks it's an excellent idea, and - against her better judgment - she marries Malachi, which is when things begin to take a drastic change. Once married, Nyree sees Malachi for the conniving, lying, stealing, cheater that he really is.
Unbeknownst to her, Malachi has quite a few skeletons in his closet, none of which she learns about until after they're married. Ultimately, not even six months into the marriage, their union appears to be dissolving...will Nyree still want to be with Malachi after finding out the truth? Will she decide to file for divorce? Or will the couple be able to make it through the storm?
Love Don't Live Here Anymore is a perfect read for sitting down in a secluded corner and curling up in a comfortable chair. In it, Jahzara shows what it is to be a woman scorned and how to fight back after finally growing weary of too much B.S. Eventually, one must realize that, when the signs are there, don't ignore them because women's intuition is usually right.
Love Don't Live Here Anymore is an entertaining read, recommended for fans of the genre.

D-R-A-M-A, January 25, 2009
This review is from: Love Don't Live Here Anymore (Paperback)
In the novel Love Don't Live Here Anymore by Jahzara readers will be introduced to couple Nyree and Malachi. On the outside looking in they appear to be your average happy go lucky couple working on forever. This would indeed be the case if Malachi could simply grow up and flat out just be a man.
Readers will not be able to put Love Don't Live Here Anymore down simply because of the true to life raw emotions displayed throughout this novel. Readers will laugh at times while other times want to cry but overall Jahzara does a fabulous job over weaving together a very realistic story line with just enough excitement from the couple's never ending drama to keep you engrossed.
Love Don't Live Here Anymore is a very interesting read and upon completion you will even question some of the choices you might have made when dealing with matters of the heart. That is how real these characters are. One thing for certain is that when a relationship is over...it's over and in Nyree's case she is right when she says Love Don't Live Here Anymore.
Author Jahzara has a fascinating gift with story telling and whatever she touches is sure to be literary gold! Kudos to her for a great book!
