From the title, to the extra production tricks, to the way this song is pieced together, it's apparent BLG is aiming for a major hit with "Love Drunk". Rock purists may shudder when they hear this (the dance club chorus and plenty of Hey Hey and Na Na vocal chants spooked me at first), but it's so strong melodically and still has plenty of rock attitude that this combo pop/punk/dance track should get plenty of people off their feet...singing and dancing along.

The very beginning has a U2 delayed guitar/Who-"Teenage Wasteland" vibe, but quickly turns to typical Boys Like Girls rock in the verse. The chorus is where BLG has changed their tune...with a Metro Station-like beat and chord progression (similar to "Seventeen Forever"s chorus), but the addition of soaring melody lines make sure this is more than just your typical club track. And with a bridge section that's melodic, powerful rock all the way, fans of their first album shouldn't be too disappointed...just be prepared for extra spice in the special effects department.

Boys Like Girls does not disappoint with their new single Love Drunk. It's a dance jam that I have already listened to two-dozen times. I love it. If you love Boys Like Girls, you'll love this new song.

I remember anticipating their first album and have been waiting for this second album for years!! And now that it's on it's way, I could not be more thrilled. Great job guys :D

This song is great for BLG, it's a shy away from their old sound but its something new and catchy, I swear it'll get stuck in your head. Give it a listen on [...] and see for yourself!

Boys Like Girls new single "Love Drunk" is incredible. Martin Johnson's lyrics are amazing. He is able to take everyday, easy to relate to lyrics and put a different spin on them so they are original. Bands like Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, and Mayday parade are saving the pop punk genre. I'm really sick of people putting down Boys Like Girls. Like I don't know who goes out of their way to bash a band? It's really annoying. It's totally fine if you don't listen to Boys like Girls, not everyone is into that kinda stuff. But then don't put them down. However if you are into pop rock Love Drunk by Boys Like Girls is a great place to start.

good song, but doesn't it remind any of you of Somebody Told Me by The Killers. its pretty much the EXACT SAME.

If all music sounded like this, I would take a No. 2 pencil, sharpen it, and stick the pointed end into each of my ear drums. The music business sucks. This is proof.
