Another excellent album from T G, May 27, 2009
This review is from: I Love Em All (Audio CD)
It seems that only two singles (Party time, I loved `em every one) were released from this album although another track (What's forever for) eventually became a huge country hit for Michael Martin Murphy so, whatever the reason for the lack of a third single, it's not the quality of the songs. Both singles from the album made number one in the country charts, with T G gaining a rare American pop hit with I loved `em every one, which made the top forty.
The three songs already mentioned are outstanding but they're not the only ones. My favorites among the others (You waltzed yourself right into my life) includes references to one of T G's earlier country hits (Last cheater's waltz), but that's not the reason it's my favorite among the obscure songs. It's just a great love story.
With six other fine ballads (We belong in love tonight, Silence on the line, Touch me all over again, Face the night alone, Troubled water, The state of the union), this album maintained T G's status as one of the best pop-country singers.
