Editorial Reviews

Deluxe two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition. 2012 release, the band's first officially released live album. Love And Endings, a document of No-Man's powerful performance in front of a sell-out crowd at the Leamington Spa Assembly on October 14th, 2011. Retaining the intimacy and sophistication of the band's studio work while possessing an edgy Rock attack absent from much of its recorded output, the duo of Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) were joined by classical violinist Steve Bingham and regular collaborators Michael Bearpark, Andrew Booker, Stephen Bennett and Pete Morgan. The material on Love And Endings is drawn from all eras of No-Man's 20 year plus career and includes the previously unreleased song, 'Beaten By Love' (which dates from the earliest days of the band).

4.0 out of 5 stars Another worthy effort July 6, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
No Man is a collective effort of Steven Wilson (PorcupineTree/Blackfield) and Tim Bowness. I wouldn't classify it as "ambient" music, but it certainly contains ambient aspects. This package contained both a CD of their performance at Leamington Spa Assembly, but also a DVD of it. This is not PT style prog rock, much more relaxed but still interesting. It is, perhaps, a bit less energetic than some of No-Man's other efforts (Returning Jesus and Wild Opera come to mind) but it's SW, and that alone pretty much does it for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Steven Wilson December 26, 2012

I bought this because I'm a big Steven Wilson fan and I was not disappointed with this effort. This represents a more mellow side of his work but enjoyable none the less.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good effort from No-Man October 11, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This live recording from Tim Burgess and Steven Wilson is good, but that is about as far as i would take it. It is an average recording from a good not great band. If you are a Steven Wilson fanatic, you will want and probably already have this recording, but if you are new to No-Man, this isn't a great place to start. One of their earlier albums will suit you well.
