Just right for lovers of Catherine Cookson' -- Bolton Evening News on A PROMISE GIVEN 'Many bitter tears are shed' -- Books Magazine on BITTER SEED 'Another good book by this popular author' -- Hartlepool Mail, on A PROMISE GIVEN 'Meg fits into a tradition before television when families sat around a fire and told stories. Not epic stories but the tales of their families and friends, an oral history of a place and its people.
