4.0 out of 5 stars Something Different
If your're a lover of relationship movies this is definetly for you. I've seen a lot of black movies dealing with relationships and this one has a little twist to it. This movie gives different views from the male and female perspective on how they look at relationships. I must admit that I believe that a lot of what they say is true. This is a movie to keep in your...

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting
It was written from a man's perspective, this is true and seemed mysoginistic (as many Black films by video directors tend to be), but it made its points. The acting was apparently done by first-time actors, but at least they looked good and moved around some interesting places. It has a nice artistic flair evidenced by the clothes and the scenery. If this is what...

5.0 out of 5 stars One star reviews..HUH?, July 5, 2005
This review is from: Love Goggles (DVD)
I read the reviews on this one and the two people that said this was an awful movie that didn't make since either fell asleep during the movie, or they have never been in a bad relationship, or they are walking around with HATE GOGGLES on...LOL. The movie chronicles two friends that are bouncing their relationship issues off of each other. Its rare to see a movie show that side of African American men without putting forth a demeaning point of view about all women. But this movie was very well put together, and even for a low budget with a cast that was not well known, this was a very good movie!!! It gets much rotation in my DVD.

Don't believe me rent it for yourself and you make the decision.

If this is what low-budgets are lookin like... well gatdam! There must be SOME money in filmmaking. lol Good camera work and art direction styles on this one. I liked it.

For those of you who have not seen this movie, I feel sorry for you. This movie by far is the most brillant movie about love that I ever saw. The twists and turns and the role reversals about love is wonderful. What makes this movie so good is that the characters are so real that you probably know someone just like them. The extras on the DVD make this one to have, because just the music alone is hot. I wish the songs were longer and that I could purchase the soundtrack, but it doesn't take away from such a great movie. If you liked Love Jones, put it away and make room for Love Goggles. Until...

The Best Black Indie film I have seen in a long while! Although the budget was low the story-line and the Director's eye is excellent! The music is some the best I've heard in any movie ever! A very deep thoughful movie that you might have to see twice to find the hidden meanings!! A must see for those into good filwork!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible, November 21, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Goggles (DVD)
This is a "Been there, done that" wanna be "Artsy black film". It offers nothing new, very poor production value, very bad acting, music is very poor and the director might want to re-think his career path because his phone will not be ringing after this so called film for sure. Oh and Q-Tip is so very bad also.
