Sweet romance,

Well, if this just wasn't soap opera in the extreme! And yet I found it oddly addicting... apparently the way soap operas are. Stansfield tends to care more about situation than character, which is sad because her use of characters could have really nudged the story to greatness instead of the lump of drama it is. There were possibly great emotions that tragically never got a chance to go anywhere because the characters were so darn flat, and it is was a storyline that has been done to death. I prefer it when Stansfield sticks to the good and fluffy. Still, I think this would be well liked by all hopeless romantics that want something with a little more meat that Stansfield's usual affair. I admit, I liked how she approached the situation, and I guess my heart did go out to the characters at times.

This is one of the best books I've ever read! It's a sweet, beautiful love story without all the smut. It's uplifting and inspiring, showing that by faith and God's grace we can overcome even the toughest trials. It made me laugh -- and bawl -- and I've reread it at least three times since I first read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

I agree with the others. Anita Stansfield is truly remarkable. The characters in her books share problems and struggles, yet through their faith, the trials end up making each one of them better people. And the readers become better people if they take the lessons to heart. This type of stuff could happen to real people...and through God, blessings are totally possible.
