About the Author

"I have always been a writer," Rebecca says. From creating stories with paper dolls as a child, to writing her first stageplay at the age of nine - which was performed by neighborhood playmates on a dirt floor of a dilapidated garage in a farming community of Central Calif., Rebecca's passion for writing continued through the years. Since her humble beginnings in Ventura County CA, and her teens in the San Joaquin Valley CA, Rebecca has resided in several States and in England. She travels to countries in Europe including Eastern Europe and Russia and uses the settings and experiences in her novels and short fiction. Even though the first third of her life was focused on schooling followed by marriage and four children, she continued to write short stories and non-fiction, unseen by others. The second third of her life was spent in corporate America - writing policy and procedure manuals, editing and writing presentations, creating forms, editing and writing articles for newsletters, etc. But her passion was all about writing fiction. After her children left the nest and she experienced the last divorce, Rebecca enrolled in a Film & Television Screenwriting program at UCLA. She worked days, went to school at night, and plotted to leave corporate America to make a living writing screenplays. That ambition was short lived since every other person in Los Angeles was a screenwriter and had the same plan. So she switched to writing stageplays and several were produced at community theatre level. But in 2005 she completed and published her first novel "Midnight at Trafalgar Square". In 2006 she published a collection of short stories "Love Has A Price Tag" which also includes two stageplays and one screenplay. In 2007 her second novel "Midnight at the Eiffel" was published. She's accomplishing her goal of publishing one book a year - (two coming up in 2008). The Amazon Shorts Program publishes her individual short stories. Ms. Buckley is also the Founder and CEO of a national writers' association "Wizards of Words" a nonprofit organization. She produces annual writing conferences in cities across the States. In 2005 it was in Las Vegas, 2006 in Kansas City, 2007 in Tampa, 2008 will be in Phoenix, 2009 in Los Angeles. In Phoenix she will be giving a workshop on "Write it Right", based on the first of a new series of books she's writing. Rebecca now resides in Queen Creek AZ with her two adorable feline beauties.
