5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, March 10, 2003

I am not a huge punk/rock fan, but this changed my views on all sorts of music. The Martinets offers a heavy melow genre of music. The music is still traditional rock but also provides a melow voice. This mixture offers a music that is new and great. I urge everyone to give the Martinets a chance. Please buy now.

This is a great album. I can't wait to see the Martinets perform it live at the Woodstock Film Festival.

5.0 out of 5 stars this one rocks!, April 11, 2000

Rock n Roll is alive and well! A great spring/summertime record. I hear a little Who influence on this one, Scooch Pooch has done it again! Worth checking out.

I echo Mr. Arm's review of this CD. But keep in mind that he is an escapee from The Marist Correctional Facility. He is considered armed (no pun intended) and dangerous!

5.0 out of 5 stars Martinets Score Big, February 11, 2000

The martinet's 1st album is a no-nonense,straight ahead effort that proves that rock and roll never died,it's just been waiting for a savior. They seem to have built upon the ground breaking efforts of their early eighties parent band The Fabians. With hard edged guitar work and idiosyncratic vocals, songs such as I Can't Pretend and Next Time seem to soar from beginning to end.A combination of New York Dolls and Bachmann-Turner Overdrive,The Martinets offer an alternative to thought prevoking modern rock!
