This author has 4 books out all beginning with the title "Love Heart Learning" and all use busy backgrounds of hearts similar to the background on the cover, vary in color, but all backgrounds are of hearts. Each number has its own page, and like on the cover, the number is written over the heart background. The author then illustrates the number by placing bolder hearts; i.e. along with the number 2, there were two bolder hearts. By the time the number reaches 20, there are 20 bolder hearts plus the number 20 plus the very busy heart background. Thus, the book reminds me of the book an eye doctor uses in the office to determine if one is colorblind. The numbers are bold and of a different color than the main color of the background; but, the hearts on some numbers, almost blend in and a little one might end of counting the background hearts in addition to the hearts intended to represent the number. I am disappointed in this entire set, and plan to delete these four from my Kindle. Maybe someone else would like this/these books, but I much prefer a number, have something fun to count, and have a less busy background. This book was too busy and uninteresting for me to want to keep it for my grandkids.
The books that begin with "Love Heart Learning" include this book of numbers, one of upper case letters, one of lower case letters, and a book of shapes. All 4 books have the busy backgrounds. There is another set of 4 books with busy "Funky Flowers" as the backgrounds and include a book of numbers, one of upper case letters, one of lower case letters and one book of shapes. I assume all of the Funky Flower books follow the same format of the hearts, in that you would have busy flowers behind each letter, number, or shape. I'll keep looking.
