Book Description

March 31, 2003
US Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts has more than one secret that could destroy her career, not the least of which is that she’s in love with the president’s daughter. Blair Powell, the first daughter, returns the feeling despite her ambivalence about Cam’s role as her security chief, particularly in the aftermath of an assassination attempt that nearly cost Cam her life. In this third book of the Honor series, Blair and Cam struggle to protect their relationship from intensified media exposure even as they are unwillingly drawn into a shadowy conspiracy that puts Cam’s career and the president’s political future at risk. When Cam's previous lover resurfaces to offer support and solace, the president's daughter and her security chief are faced with difficult choices as they battle a tangled web of Washington intrigue for...love and honor.

About the Author

Radclyffe is a two-time recipient of the Alice B. award for lesbian fiction and has written numerous best-selling lesbian romances (Safe Harbor and its sequel Beyond the Breakwater, Innocent Hearts, Love’s Melody Lost, Love’s Tender Warriors, Tomorrow’s Promise, Passion’s Bright Fury, Love’s Masquerade, shadowland, and Fated Love), as well as two romance/intrigue series: the Honor series (Above All, Honor, Honor Bound, Love & Honor, and Honor Guards) and the Justice series (Shield of Justice, the prequel A Matter of Trust, In Pursuit of Justice, and Justice in the Shadows). She also selected and contributed to Infinite Pleasures: an Anthology of Lesbian Erotica, ed Seaman and Dunn (2004)

She lives with her partner, Lee, in Philadelphia, PA where she both writes and practices surgery full-time. She states, "I began reading lesbian fiction at the age of twelve when I found a copy of Ann Bannon’s Beebo Brinker. Not long after, I began collecting every book with lesbian content I could find. The new titles come much faster now than they did in the decades when a new book or two every year felt like a gift, but I still treasure every single one. These works are our history and our legacy, and I am proud to contribute in some small way to those archives." --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hoping for #4 in a series????, July 2, 2003

This review is from: Love & Honor (Paperback)
I enjoyed all three of the books in this series, but the 3rd
book, Love & Honor, was absolutely terrific. The first two books built the groundwork, and this book carried the two main characters' relationship to a strong feeling of permanence. The physical part of their relationship was nothing short of STEAMY, HOT and ADDICTIVE. But, the emotional part was what kept me turning the pages. I couldn't put this book down. Adding the intrigue of the events they encountered, made this book one of the best I've read. Radclyffe continues to give us strong characters, sensual material, and a thirst for more of her books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love & Honor, April 18, 2003

This review is from: Love & Honor (Paperback)
Love & Honor, the third book in the Honor Series was hard to put down. I was hooked after reading the first couple of pages. The character development is strong, the writing is tight. Cam and Blair, the two main characters, compliment each other beautifully. They are both strong, independent women who are passionate about their beliefs, but at the same time have a soft side that shows compassion and vulnerability. The security team forms a very tight bond and a fierce loyalty to each other, their chief and the woman they have vowed to protect. This bond strengthens as the story progresses into a race against time.
This is Radclyffe at her best; action, intrigue and romance. This story easily stands on its own, but if you haven't read the first two books in this series, Above All, Honor and Honor Bound you are missing out on a wonderful reading experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love and Honor and Passion and Intrigue and..., February 9, 2006

(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
This series gets better with each new book. I generally enjoy Radclyffe's writing, but believe this series is her best. Secret Service Agent Cameron Roberts starts out this one reviewing her actions during the attack on her protectee, First Daughter Blair Powel, during the fiasco at the end of 'Honor Bound.'

Cam and Blair are truly lovers by this book, but they are careful with their new relationship, especially when it comes to others finding out. However, they have no choice but to come clean when Blair begins receiving intimate photos and she is featured in the newspaper in a picture that shows her in an intimate embrace with another woman. White House Chief of Staff, Lucinda Washburn is livid about this turn of events. The President is supportive of his daughter and seems to genuinely like Cam.

Cam works with FBI agents that were once on Blair's security team to discover who is sending the photos. While they dig, they find more intrigue than they can handle.

Rad's characters are three-dimensional and are very well developed at this point. She delivers not only the relationship between Cam and Blair, but throws in a budding relationship between SS Agent Paula Stark and FBI Agent Renee Savard as a bonus. The sex scenes don't get any steamier, the characters don't get more likable, and the plot doesn't get any thicker than this.

A must own. Really...
