Hard To Put Down,
This review is from: To Love and Honour (Paperback)
Set in London in the 1920's, Tess and Amy are housemaids for a wealthy family. Theire one escape from the drudgery of everyday life is the cinema. Together, they dream of being the heroines, sweot off their feet by handsome heros. Amy, large and plain looking (at least in her eyes) doubts this will ever happen to her, especially with the skinny, goregous Tess about. One day, a man approached them, and changes their lives forever. This is a love story with quite a few twists and turns in it. Tess is also anorexic. |
