This lovely little volume should be a welcome addition to the library of anyone who values beautiful books, wise words, or the divinely inspired. Eloquently designed with a cover of Japanese paper, and with high quality paper and beautiful printing, the book looks and feels hand-made and bound. Within its pages is a collection of quotes on love that both delight and remind the reader of the connective that links us to every living thing. Goff-Maidoff has made eclectic selections of a multitude of our greatest thinkers and writers, from Wordsworth and Tennyson to Buddha and Jesus. An added treat is Goff-Maidoff's own lovely verses interspersed throughout. I recommend getting the two companion volumes to this one as well, entitled "Friendship", and "Happiness".

A gift book, yes. But this book's words open the world of love beyond romance to examine the way you live and approach life itself. As Ingrid writes, "Tuning our hearts to live in love, we widen our circle of love. It expands with joy and beauty -- like ripples on a moonlit lake."

I have used some of these sayings as a reflection as I start my day -- others as a spirit-filled way to close out a busy day. This hold-in-your-hand little book is a gem.
