This is an amazing book. I used the introduction in my fourth grade class as an example of detailed writing. My students were moved and inspired. Most of them made a text to self connection and one was moved to tears as were a few teachers. I had my students pick an experience to write about and make it as detailed as they could and I was amazed at what "For the Love of a K9" inspired my students to write. Bravo Paul Sheldon.
