I've read all of Elizabeth Chadwick's novels and this one is not her best, but I still really liked it. Many of her novels are very dramatic with the complicated web of medeival politics. You can totally get sucked into the story and that's great. But sometimes a good story doesn't need to be so serious or in depth.
This book is a little bit of a departure from Elizabeth Chadwick's other stories...it reminds me of a Gaelen Foley romance novel, but weightier and a little darker. I found it a good read. |
