Could have been better!,

The setting is interesting as we have a PI/Assassin involved with an innocent victim with special ESP/presentiments power. The story gets off to a good start but sort of tapers off after a while. It would have been better if it is darker in tone and more is said of the PI/Assassin's background as he is the more interesting character. What has driven him to be an assassin ? Instead we end up with a rather tame story of a strong seme protecting an innocent virgin uke who knows nothing about real life. Also the villain suddenly turning up not to be such a bad guy afterall really put a damper to the story.
The not so great artwork also undermines the story somewhat. I guess this soft Yaoi could have turned out better developed in a more talented mangaka's hands. A pity. |
