The Lord has used this book, to teach me to draw near to him with the pen. The writer, Lynn Morrisey, encourages us to pour out our hearts to him, tell him everything, then let it rest in his hands. The stories she tell, just leaves you feeling so much closer to God, as you begin, to write your Love Letters to Him! This is ministry, in a unique way!

When I look at this gorgeous book I can't help but realize that God thinks of our prayers as works of art. In Love Letters To God Lynn Morrissey has opened her heart and her life so others can understand that we can gain deeper intimacy with written prayers. Lynn's lyrical writing, paired with Katia Andreeva's incredible art, has created more than a book. Some books on prayer have made me feel guilty. This book makes me feel envious and hopeful that I too can have the type of prayer life Lynn has achieved. Love Letters To God is an encouragement to all women to pick up the pen and write out of their pain and their joy because the Father will listen.

Lynn Morrissey has a beautifully poetic way of writing, in a deeply personal manner with candor and humility that draws the reader into an intimacy with her, while revealing the kind of relationship we can all have with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. "Love Letters to God" evokes every tender emotion, bringing the reader to examine his or her own life, heart and prayer-life. Simply gorgeous to look at, inspiring to mediate upon and a book to be cherished always.

Lynn Morrissey doesn't write--she sings her words onto paper. This amazing book carried me away each morning to an intimate place in the Father's heart, and I thank the author for her own heart that made this journey possible. If I could give it more than five stars, I would!

I was amazed when I opened up the pages of LOVE LETTERS TO GOD and found such beauty--beauty in the heart-touching depth of the writing and beauty in the amazing artwork that graces each page. The book is like a sweet, magnificently crafted invitation to draw closer to our Heavenly Father. It doesn't get any sweeter!

Love Letters to God is a beautiful hardcover gift book,with exquisite photographs. Eleven chapters are filled with the author's personal experiences as she discovers the thrill of praying through writing to God. Morrissey's journey is one anyone can follow--no expensive ticket, no reservations,no luggage to tote, just need to have a yearning to meet God, joyously and honestly, through prayer. Each chapter stands alone. The writing is succinct, encouraging, easy to read.

After reading "Love Letter to God," I felt like I'd connected with God from the inside out. Lynn's profound way with words expresses her fears, hopes, and heart in such a way that I felt free to tunnel into my emotions by being open to what God wants to teach me. I learned from her vulnerability, which was expressed in such a poetic way. It reminded me of Michangelo creating his masterpieces--they were beautiful to behold.

Few things in life thrill me like receiving a hand-written letter, penned just for me. Imagine writing letters to God. That is what author Lynn Morrissey has done for years and calls it the "romance of a lifetime." Morrissey's book, "Love Letters to God," is a very personal one. It's as if she spills a little of her soul onto the pages, in the hopes of helping another discover the intimacy of written prayer. Once you read this book, you will understand that God isn't "out there" somewhere; He is as close as your pen.

This beautiful book goes right to your heart. The authors vulnerability and authenticity encourages others to open the deepest, darkest parts of their heart to the Lord. Only he can truly understand and heal the hurts long buried. Lynn shows how God will rejoice significantly at our insignificant accomplishments. She illustrates God's grace and love not only to her, but shows us how it is available to all of us if we simply allow God into our hearts. As children we kept journals. Lynn shows us the importance of journalizing at it's best - in prayer to our Creator.

When I began reading "Love Letters to God" I thought of a dozen friends and family members I'd love to get a copy for. Not only was I encouraged by Ms. Morrissey's own letter writing, this book encouraged me to pick up my pen and begin a few of my own.
