My wife was raving about some letters from great men in the Sex in the City movie. I think she's disappointed that I don't have that kind of talent. I'm not really into writing, but it gave me an idea...

I bought this book for her and every once in a while I read her a letter, out loud, from the book. She loves it - and me for it!
I recommend this for any guy who needs a little boost in this department. You won't be disappointed. Trust me.

This special book has also, become one of my favorites, it is filled with heartfelt love letters of long ago and poems! I loved it, and I highly recommend it! I also recommend LOVE LETTERS OF GREAT MEN AND WOMEN FROM THE 18TH CENTURY TO THE PRESENT, this is a great book also, I love both books very much, because they are very similar!

As I was reading the reviews for this book, one of the reviews for this book caught my eye, it was from a man named Arthur (a good choice -is his review title), who ordered this book for his wife, because he stated that he was not gifted in writing love letters, and he said that sometimes he reads one of these love letters, and poems to his wife, and that he recommends for other men to do this for their wives, and to trust him, that they would not be disappointed! WOW! This romantic man's wife is a very lucky woman! I would just love for a man to read, to me, one of these love letters and poems! Can you imagine? I know my tender heart would just completely melt!

This book contains a awesome collection of love letters and poems, from famous & non-famous people of long ago! These love letters and poems are in their original format, and style of their own unique version of English. These people come alive right before you eyes, and you feel what they feel. On each letter or poem, it tells who the letter was written by, and sometimes to whom ,it was written for, and the year. This wonderful book contains letters and poems from:

and there are so many more, that you can't name them all! But you will love this book, and you will want to read it more than once! You will feel like you are traveling through time ,seeing all these people fall in love during all these years ,that are in our history of so long ago!

The author did an exemplary job of finding the original letters from some of the most famous men (and women) in history. There are letters from Beethoven, Voltaire, Lewis Carroll, and on and on. It's a strange yet intriguing to read such personal letters, but very enjoyable.

I recently broke up with my boyfriend and a friend gave me this book to cheer me up. I'm not sure I can say it exactly cheered me, but it does remind me that men really can love with all their hearts.

I love this book! Who know men could write such touching and personal letters. Where did these men go? Until I find one, this book will have to do. I like to read a different letter each night before I go to sleep.

This book is a lot like the one from Sex in the City!

It also includes a few poems and for some letters, it includes the response from the woman who received it.

It's so beautiful and romantic. I can only hope that someday someone will write me a letter that compares to these.

Excellent Book.

This book includes all of the love letters from Sex in the City and many more they did not read, plus a few poems and a few love letters from famous women. The letters reveal a side of men that does not get reported in the history books. They might be great warriors or leaders, but they are also incredibly passionate, desirous, and tender in their expressions of love. In some cases, the book lists correspondence that goes back and forth between the man and woman. It's fascinating.
