Book Description

From the NYT Bestselling author of The Manhattanites series comes another snarky, sexy novel featuring young, rich, beautiful people doing stupid cray-cray things. If you enjoy TV shows like Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries, and The Girls on HBO--then Love, Lex is the book for you!

This summer, I'd planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites--Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth--until I caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit-inducing incident happened around the same time I'd supposedly blown-up my mother's penthouse. Like I'm walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse--not! Now, my besties and I are in jail.

Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin' biker cop who arrested us, keeps sticking his perfectly-sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero, and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won't. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right? --Lex Easton, women's studies major, motorcycle enthusiast, and virgin.

The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.

From the Author

My novels are escapism in the purest form. They are romantic, snarky, hot, and a li'l cray-cray. Events in this story take place in 2002 and are a figment of my imagination. Have fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Lex June 17, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I came across this book accidentally and thank God I did because it was just what I needed!!! It was short and sweet and super funny. I
After what she had to witness with Kelle and her mom and from the looks of it her whole life in general, Lex had a tough life with her crazy parents and her peers. But in the end Lucky lucky Lex lost Lady V to the sexy Mr Ford Gotti - yummmmy
This book was super funny and although it was short (i read it in just few short hours) it was packed with details and sexiness. loved Lex and cant wait to see where she ends up next with her BFF, VBF and GBF....and also with the men. Way to go Avery Aster...I look forward to reading all your other books

SUMMER'S BOOK BLOG

Love Lex by Avery Aster was filled with angst, drama , and a boat load of cray cray! Lex Easton was the plus sized daughter of famed rockers. A product of an absentee father always on tour and a crazy mother. Birdie Easton had looks, fame, and money....She was everything her daughter wasn't.

Too bad she was always too stoned to notice. Lex had been through a lot for a girl about to turn eighteen. She had low self esteem and a poor body image...not helped by her awful boyfriend Kelle. Always promising they'd do the deed if she just lost a little more weight.

They all plan a vacation to Paris over the summer before starting college. Lex plans to give away her "V" card at last. Her plans go up in smoke literally....and they find themselves in jail. These girls are no strangers to Orange jumpsuits.

Their past antics have landed them in juvie. This time however the boundaries of their friendship will be tested. Throw into the mix their gay best friend Blake and a hot tattooed motorcycle cop. This story is sure to keep you entertained.Avery Aster's new adult novel will have you laughing, cheering, and sad to see it end. It is a great coming of age story.

You will fall in love with Lex and all her quirks. The way she zones out of reality and lives out her fantasies in her mind. This book is written in the point of view of Lex and it is so entertaining.

Enjoy!

Book from Amazon as a freebie!

Manhattanite fans unite! "Love Lex" is a must read! Incredible insight into Lex's l teen life , past indescresions , crappy parents and Bff's !

If you think your parents were bad and the drama I your life over the top, you are most likely wrong ! After all have you come home to your mother having sex with your boyfriend ? The very same boyfreind you have been fighting to loose weight for so you could go him your virginity, I doubt it, welli hope not . To add further insul to injury lex then gets arrested by the very hot motorcycle officer Ford Gotti for supposedly attempting to kill said mother via arson all because you burned a crappy dress that provided nothing but bad memories and a box full of Photos of you and the nasty X boyfreind!

But these friends will stick together right, being thrown in jail is not enough to break them apart , is it; well it does look like it may be a close call Thank goodness for GBF Blake who comes to the rescue.

Of course throw in a twist, super hot cop Ford Gotti also comes to Lex's rescue and winds up getting a ver person ell reward!!!

Could not put this one down !

5.0 out of 5 stars I have a love-hate relationship with Lex Easton! June 1, 2014
By Arianne
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Honestly, I just started reading erotica or naughty Adult fiction 2 years ago, when someone told me Fifty Shades of Grey was a great book. Unfortunately, I did not agree with my friend. After reading Avery Aster’s Love, Lex… Oh well, let me just say, 50 Shades paled in comparison. Love, Lex is way better than timid Anastasia Steele’s pursuits. Sorry…

The thing is, I think I have a love-hate relationship with Lex Easton. She’s got qualities that I really love about her – chubby, witty, driven and doesn’t take s*** even from her high-profile mom. And what do I hate about her? Well, not her, really, but I hate her Manhattanites friends.. I hate that Blake, Taddy and Vive were spoiled socialite stereotypes. Gahd.. I roll my eyes whenever Blake do something I am NOT able to do.. LOL.. But seriously, in the end, I get them. I get their attitudes, I get how they all blend together and I love how they stand up for one another.. AND the very best thing I love about the story – I love Officer Ford, too, dammit! I want to have a piece of him.

Okay, that’s all I have to say right now. I’m off to pacify my heartbeat. This Undergrad Years Book 1 series is making me all sweaty and dreamy. Yay!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, Lex Review June 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I absolutely love Avery Aster's books :)
Love, Lex is a prequel companion to the series The Manhattanites.

After reading the often sad and heart-wrenching sci-fi, dystopian books I prefer it's so great to have Avery Aster's hilarious, snarky and downright sometimes absurd stories to escape to.

Love, Lex had me literally laughing out loud with some of the situations these characters get themselves into.

Officer Ford, hell-o *waves* that man is an Adonis. I'd do something to get arrested to meet my own but knowing my luck I'd get a mean, unattractive cop so I'm just going to remain an upstanding citizen and live vicariously through Lex's fantasies lol

I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in a humorous, New-adult book with fiery and sarcastic females with equally awesome bff's to escape real life :)

Happy reading!
