Folks, Eric Benet's new CD hit the stores yesterday, and it is worth buying.

"You're the Only One I Want" promises to be one of those songs responsible for baby booms. (Y'all know what I'm talking about.) It's reminiscent of old school R&B--meaningful lyrics with a groove that will make you want to get busy.

"Weekend Girl" also has a familiar feel--you'll be reminded of the S.O.S. Band's version of "Weekend Girl" when you first hear this song, but you will quickly see that it is altogether different. Good song.

"Chocolate Legs." All I can say is, "LAWD, LAWD, LAWD."

"Love Patience & Time" begins with an acappella bridge that is somewhat gospel-esque (yes, I made up that word) that follows with a smooth, upbeat groove. Niiiiiiice.

"Spanish Fly" will make you want to do a slow merengue with that special someone.

This whole CD is good, and it will definitely be spending time in my car's stereo for quite a while. Give it a listen!

I've been a fan of Eric Benet's since 1996's A Day In The Life and while his last CD 2005'S Hurricane was a slight depature from his previous, he returns to excllent from with Love & Life. The CD opens with the mellow Love, Patience & Time followed by the lead singles The Hunger and Your The Only One. Your The Only One is the strongest Eric has sounded vocally since Spend My Life With You & Feminity. Another track that's sure to be a sure fire babymaker is Chocolate Legs, very sensual song stritcely for the grown & sexy.While the CD doesn't have anything as strong as the three lead, Eric voices makes the tracks work with his heartfelt emotion.

Eric has done it again and again. This album, "Love And Life", is no exception to the rule. I am in love with it. It doesn't have song on it that you want to skip over. This is a testament to how much of a true artist Eric really is. Eric, you have truly done it once again. Can't wait to see you in concert in L.A.. Holla at us Angelenos. LET ME TELL YOU IT IS NEVER TOO LATE FOR TRUE LOVE. JUST KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN AND LISTEN TO THE SWEET SMOOTH BEAT OF THIS NEW RELEASE, ESPECIALY "LOVE, PATIENCE & TIME"! HAS A TOUCH OF GOSPEL THAT IS SURE TO MOVE YOU! RUN OUT AND BUY THIS CD! I LOVE IT!

Eric is definitely talented and really good. Content label with explicit or adult lyrics should be listed. previous info about him being a sex fiend are very much apparent with lyrics.I think words used in these songs are to be left to the "Rappers" not someone with great talent and a voice like Eric's.He starts off really good then he gets to a point where he just goes to left field.What happened to singing about love as his previous cd ? too much sexual content in this one.

While listening you imagine a beautiful scenery with a waterfall OR a warm fire place and candlelight. Eric's project is "for the lover in you", warm, sensitive, romantic. His voice is clear and mellow! After reading all the events that have been going on in his personal life over the past few years; this project must have been therapeutic for him. Sounds GREAT and his fans are really glad to have him back in the mix! Wonderful, just wonderful! Keep on groovin', Eric!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Eric Benet's "Love & Life" cd!

I purchased Eric Benet's CD when it first released (I pre-ordered!) on September 9th and I have been listening to it EVERY DAY since then. I tell you, Eric is such an amazing artist. He never ceases to amaze me (not to mention he is my most favorite singer of all time!). The talent this man has is incredible! I've been a fan ever since I heard "Georgy Porgy" on the radio and that's when I found out who he was. Of course after that, I had to go get that cd and then the previous!

"Love & Life" should definitely be in your cd collection... it, like his other cds (True to Myself, A Day in the Life, and Hurricane), have a little something different in each song. Well to ME anyway! I've said it before and I'll say it again, Eric's music draws me in so much because his music doesn't all sound "the same" like a lot of other people's music does these days. "Love & Life" is true R+B and I'm so glad that he has been able to keep doing the kind of music that he loves to do.

Personal favorites on "Love & Life" are "Weekend Girl" which, for me, brings out that "happy feeling" and it has a nice "old school" type of groove. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this track! I replay that MANY times! I also love, "You're the Only One," "The Hunger," "One More Tomorrow..." and of course, "Chocolate Legs!" And FINALLY, "Spanish Fly" made it to his CD! I LOVE that song! I LOVE when he adds a little Spanish style music in his music! ALL his stuff is EXCELLENT and you would NOT regret this purchase.

Eric Benet's "Love & Life" is a MUST-HAVE... trust me. You're gonna love it just like I do! He has done a phenomenal job and I tell ya, the man should be played all over the airwaves! So please, spread the word and the love when you get his cd, "Love & Life" is most definitely "DA BOMB DIGGITY!"

Finally, I can listen to REAL R & B music again. This CD from that fine Eric Benet is off the hook. From the beginning to the end it has me rocking. But that song, "Chocolate Legs" surely makes any woman cross her legs together tightly because that song definitely make you pulsate. But overall, it is definitely worth the purchase even if you're not an Eric Benet fan. It's real music, real talent, real storytelling and real sensuous. Now that's refreshing!!!

It's good to know that Eric Benet has not swayed from his roots and continues to put out quality music. Now, this is what I call singing!!!! And he had total creative control over his project. Sit back and take a listen.......Do your thang Eric!!!

Eric, Eric, Eric - you didn't hit a homerun with this one, dude. :-(

I bought this on the strength of Eric's musical reputation and the song You're The Only One, but this is not his best work. After I listen to The Hunger, You're The Only One, and Don't Let Go, I skip Everlove and listen to Chocolate Legs, Weekend Girl, skip Iminluvwichoo, and listen to Spanish Fly and eject. Hmmm, six out of twelve songs - that makes it halfway decent. It's still a good CD, but the songs are mostly forgettable. I don't think he'll ever do better than A Day In The Life.
