I heard the song when Kenny Rogers was on an old Oakridge Boys Show years ago and really like it so I ordered the album. I was
disappointed in the album because of some of the other songs. Should have just bought the song.

This is Kenny Rogers first record after The First Edition. If you just look at the song titles you might think it is a gosphel album. The song Love Lifted Me is not the same song as the Hymn. I originally bought this I think in 1979. I was becoming more of a Kenny Rogers fan and was getting his back log of albums. This isn't bad. My favorite songs are Homemade Love. Which somebody else had done but I dont remember who it was. Del Reeves? Or somebody like that. And My second favorite is the World Needs A Melody. Which always kind of reminded me of I Believe In Music. There were no big hits on this cd. And Lucille was on his next album and he never looked back.
