In 1999 Barbra Streisand became Mrs. James Brolin and with her album "A Love Like Ours" she celebrates that union. This record was her 23rd Top 10 album going as far as #6 and reaching Gold and Platinum status selling over 3,000,000 copies worldwide. The neat thing about this record, besides the wonderful songs, is the album cover. In 1964 Barbra released her "People" LP which featured a very similar photo, but the cover featured only Barbra standing alone looking at the ocean. On "A Love Like Ours" she is featured with her new husband.Highlights here include the Barbra and Vince Gill duet "If You Ever Leave Me" (which bombed on country radio), "Isn't It A Pity?", "If I Didn't Love You" and "I've Dreamed of You". |
