Format: Audio CD
I used to own this in the video format, with a few less poems. Here Ray Manzarek matches his keyboarding skills with the poetry of Michael McClure. Now, Michael was a friend of Jim Morrison's, both being poets. Ray did pretty much here what he did with Jim's poetry. Instead of weaving the poems into songs, he simply created music to carry the poem. One of the poems is a tribute to Jim Morrison. Paragon Of Danger is probably my favorite, and one of the longest. If you love poetry recitals, and if you like great piano work, this is a great place to start. Ray is very impressive on the grand piano. Michael's poetry is suburb and his delivery is excellent. A great creative coloboration from two great artists.
