This play has Nora Ephron written all over it. It's a compilation of monologues--some, heartwarming and moving; others, downright hilarious--in which a variety of women tie specific memories of life events to what they were wearing at the time. I can't imagine there's a woman anywhere who couldn't identify with this play. Love it!

I enjoyed this play very much and hope to be performing it in the near future....it's richly funny and poignant at the same time. Nora Ephron had a lot to say and said it in a pleasant, funny, all-inclusive manner. She makes you proud and pleased to be a woman and welcomes you into the club!

Great roles for women. Great writing. And from a seemingly superfluous topic, a rich and satisfying portrait of what it means to be a woman. Read it. And the book it came from.

I was looking for audition monologue material and this has worked nicely. Our local theatre is producing this in the fall and I look forward to seeing it.

A very enjoyable play to read with friends, especially if you're a woman of a certain age. You keep nodding, laughing, saying, yes, yes, to sentence after sentence. And she doesn't leave out the hard parts of being a woman, at least not all of them. There's no plot, but there's an arc, from childhood to old age. You should read it for the long riff on purses, if for nothing else.

Well written, I like the shorter acting pieces, so it would be easy to rehearse and stage. Haven't staged it, have to find a women's group kind of thing, where it would play well. I was laughing out loud at a couple of them.
