5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! A Collection that is both Priceless and Timeless, November 2, 2002
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is almost like a "Best of" for I Love Lucy. The Europe trip was always my favorite. It includes every single Europe related episode, UNCUT and intact, as they were seen in the 50's. It contains 17 episodes and is about 6 1/2 hours long. I plays like a long movie. I paid 35 dollars for it, and it was worth every penny. I would have paid almost double for it, it's that good. Many of these aren't frequently played on Tv Land, and are cut when they are, so this is worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Has Come!!, March 27, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This collection has to be the funniest adventures ever in the history of television. From sleeping on the Staten Island Ferry, to missing the Constitution, to stomping grapes in Italy, this is worth your money. Also, how they made the episodes slide into one another in sequence was amazing! If you buy this video collection, never say Bon Voyage to it!!

I Love Lucy Adventures in Europe is a great video it has 4 classic episode like (Lucy's Italian Movie) (Bon Vogage) (Paris at last) and (Lucy gets a Paris gown) those are just some classics in this video. I watch over and over and don't get bored of it. I like this one so much that I even bought the California Adventures tape. But I really think it is a good tape and i give it FIVE STARS

5.0 out of 5 stars LUCY AND EUROPE, April 27, 2000
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is another truly fun-filled package of more than a dozen episodes of America's favourite comedy show of all time. Memorable are Lucy's adventures in the grape vat in Turo, Italy as she "soaks up local colour" and "starving" herself in Paris so Ricky will feel sympathetic for her and buy her an original Parisian designer dress. The Ricardos and Mertzes are trapped in a Swiss avalanche: Ethel: "Fred, remember when we were married and I told you I was 18? Fred:"Yeah" Ethel: "I was was really 19" Fred: "And I've got news for you!-you were 24!" Lucy wreaks her usual havoc on an English fox hunt: when an aristocratic English rose (played by Hilary Brooke) tells Lucy that Ricky's "a prize" Lucy remarks "Yeah, well that "prize" belongs in my box of cracker jack!" Lucy is desperate to meet the Queen and eventually gets presented. "Lucy Goes to Scotland" is an amusing diversion as the entire episode is the contents of her dream to Kildoonan; Ricky is funny singing "I'm in Love with the Dragon's Dinner" and the Mertzes are a riot as the two-headed Dragon!

5.0 out of 5 stars European Vacation Calamity, January 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This set shwocases Lucy at her best. The entire trip is filled with Lucy's always enduring ability to mess up and Fred Mertz's closeness to his dollar. There are nonstop laughts all the way through the tapes. Some of the best episodes are: "Bon Voage" (Lucy Misses the boat and comes up with an interesting way to get on), "Lucy Gets a Paris Gown" (Ricky and Fred Play a dirty trick on Lucy and Ethel with potato sacks and buckets), "Lucy in the Swiss Alps" (Lucy causes an avalanch), "Lucy's Bicycle Trip" (Lucy's big screw up on the French border in Italy, she can't get across), and "Return Home from Europe" (Lucy's experience with a smuggled cheese on a PAN-AM CLIPPER). This set is a Lucy masterpeice (A whole lot of mix-ups).

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVED it!, May 6, 2001
By
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have two copies of this collection it is so good. It documents all of Lucy and Ricky's travels through Europe. Including the musical I Love Lucy episode! I was endeared to the Mertz's and Ricardo's all over again. This showed everything from Lucy's search for her birth certificate to Ethel being pinned with the reason for a large amount of French Francs in a suitcase! I can watch this over, and over and over, this group is even better then the California group, which has some of my absolute favorite Lucy episodes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, as expected!, November 1, 1999
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Anything with "I Love Lucy" is obviously going to be a classic. It was fun to watch all of these videos in their entirety without commercial interruptions or footage cuts. However, the first reviewer of this book in this space was mistaken on two episodes. Only Lucy could not find her birth certificate, not Fred, too. Also, Lucy got sick on the Staten Island Ferry NOT after boarding the ship, the SS Constitution. Amazon's price of this video is a real bargain. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars with lucy, it is always a winner!, November 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: I Love Lucy: Adventures in Europe [VHS] (VHS Tape)
the i love lucy shows are classic and the best. the writing was great. however, i have one very important error to point out. in the episode in which lucy can't find her passport, she was the only one. fred's wasn't lost. i consider myself an expert on lucy and can list a number of errors throughout the shows. lucy is second to none.
