This is the newest doll in Mattel's (hopefully) ongoing I Love Lucy doll series. They are meant to be collector's dolls, but if introduced at the right time, properly, I think kids can learn how to take care of this doll. This doll is incredibly well-detailed and looks amazingly like Lucy Ricardo, from the face to the dress and the accessories. Dolls like these are wonderful because I Love Lucy is being introduced to a whole new generation.

You can buy this toy as I did for commemorative purposes or to play with. It is wondefully detailed down to Lucy's chocolates she's smuggling out. It even comes complete with more so Lucy never has to go hungry! Doll's stand tells the episode name and number. The plot line is on the back of the box, and includes the original airing date. It is great for a Lucy fan who wants something they can really display so that people will know what they think of her. A wondeful buy!

I love I Love Lucy and I think that the dolls are a great idea! From the Chocolate factory to vitavitavegimine (sorry for the spelling) its great that we can see what she looked like in color and it's just great!

I've been watching Lucy since I was a kid, and I can't say enough great things about this doll. The detail is incredible. There's even a stray chocolate piece in Lucy's hair cap, which stays true to the episode. You should get two of these, one to keep (it'll go up in value, these dolls are great investments), and one to play with. She's too much fun!

I love this doll. I am a Lucy fan from way back, and watch her showsall the time. This doll looks just like her. I also have a 'Vita-Meata-Vegamin' dollcoming. Can't wait for the next one.

This doll is absolutely perfect for Lucy lovers who can't get enough of her! I'm just sorry I missed the premier doll -- the Vitameatavegamin Commercial.

Not only are the details on the doll precise, but the memories of the show which this brought back are worth the price alone.

I am a seller of TV character dolls and have sold this, the second in series of Lucille Ball starring as Lucy Ricardo in "Job Switching" or the infamous Candy Factory episode where she and Ethel try to get jobs outside the home and it is disastrous. It is a very good portrait of Lucille Ball, and the clothing is authentic-looking. I still remember this episode from the popular 50's TV Show and think that it is a must-have for Lucy fans everywhere.

I was very pleased with the whole process through Amazon. I am very glad I made this purchase. I had 1 other "I Love Lucy" Barbie that I had taken out from storage that I bought years ago. I suddenly decided to continue collecting. So I purchased my next doll & I was very pleased with everything. I now have 2 "I Love Lucy" Barbies & display them on my bookshelf. I hope to get another collectors one through Amazon in the near future.

This doll is a treausure, and the fact it is a sellout, as the others speaks for it's self. I LOOOOOOOOVE this doll and Lucy. The doll's costume and accessories are great, a truly beautiful doll and must have for Lucy collectors especially collectors of this series. I cherish mine and plan to pass these thru the generations as heirlooms to my Love of Lucy which is part of who i am. Highly recommended if you are lucky enough to still aquire one.

Barbie as Lucy is a wonderful idea. But I can only give this doll 3 stars. This is because I do not feel the facial features are as close a match to Lucy as the other two Barbies in the series (Lucy's TV Commercial and Italian Movie Lucy). But still a great piece of pop culture art. And a must have to complete this collectors set.
