What A Book!,
By
This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was hot from start to finish! Lisa and Sam were electric together and the story around them was very exciting! The writing was so vivid that you felt you were in the jungle and danger with them. This is one of my favorites! A rich girl who is used to having her own way meets a man, who is lethal and has no respect for her pampered life. But what they endure trying to survive in each situation makes you fall in love with them. Take your time and read it because it's not boring at all!

I cannot believe everyone loved this book,

I am a big fan of Ms.Robards books but I really did not care for this one. The heroine wanted to be respected by the hero, but she continually threw herself on him when she hardly knew him. Come on! And as for him, when, after they declared their true feelings for each other,he ranted at her and called her a "bit..",well,I gave up.

Suspenseful- a page turner,

This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
Not for the faint of heart - The violence in the book made me wince. I'd have preferred less of it, but I guess it adds to the realism and terror that the heroine, and vicariously the reader, experience. A nail-biter.

Loved It!!,
By
This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
I really like Karen Robards but this one is my favorite. It was one of the first romance books that I have read and I have reread it several times. I love how it follows them through several different experiences. I got more involved with the characters and it wasn't the typical "meet you one week, marry you the next" type romance.

Not her best,
By A Customer
This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a big Robards fan but struggled to finish this one. While there is electric sexual chemisty between the couple, neither is particulary attractive as a human being. Sam is domineering to the point of cruelty, and Lisa is spoiled and much too defensive. I just couldn't make myself care about whether or not true love would conquer all this time.

Explosive!!,

The main characters Lisa and Sam sizzle with sensuality. Readers could understand Lisa's vulnerability and Sam certainly does take full advantage of the situation. A happy ending thoughA good read.

TO LOVE A MAN,

This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
Ok....I really loved this book and read it in three days...I was swept up in the way the Karen Robards describes in erotic detail between the Sam Eastman character and Lisa Collins...She seems to know what women want....on the other hand I to did not have much respect for the female character. I don't like the fact that she was portrayed as wimpy at best... But I will keep on reading Karen's books.

Disgusting,
This review is from: To Love a Man (Mass Market Paperback)
This book doesn't deserve any stars!!! It should be a ---*. I'm on about page 110 and I'm going to toss it, which is a first for me. Lisa is stupid! I can not imagine any women subjecting herself to the humiliation she does. Can she really be that starved for sex? Sam is a cruel barbaric brute. I don't even think you could describe him as a neanderthal. What type of person enjoys this type of writing? (Classifying it as writing is a huge leap!!)

O.K. the hero is a jerk!!,

But I guess i love jerks. Any way I could suspend disbelief for a few hours and enjoy this book. It is not PC but so what. It was a fun read for me. I really liked the whole african experience but the american part didn't live up to snuff. I hated the rushed end but still it was o.k. Nothing great but good for an escape from the norm.
