5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece to add to the collection. October 24, 2012
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
As I haven't and probably won't listen to this, I can only say as a collectible piece, it's nice. The sleeve is a light cardboard/heavy paper so it will probably last longer than the actual original in 50 years. Nicely reproduced to evoke the original, but different enough that owners of the original can't be upset they "duplicated" anything. At this price, you almost can't not buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars a wonderful way to honor The Beatles November 1, 2012
Format:Vinyl
As others have noted, this is indeed a beautiful collector's piece for any Beatles fan! The quality of the sound of both sides is just great--it sounds like a record and I actually prefer that to the sound of a CD! (I've heard people say that our ears were "made" for us to best enjoy mono and stereo; I'm not sure that we can hear literally 100% of the sound when we play a CD.)

They replicated the artwork nicely; the record itself has that red label although there are two or three minor changes like the label saying it was made in the E.U. and not Great Britain; and the sleeve boasts those snazzy lines with the Parlophone message that "this record must be played at 45 r.p.m."

Needless to say, The Beatles do a great job on "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You." They sound terrific! This music remains incredible even today and I highly recommend this for any fan of The Beatles. People who appreciate rock and roll from the early 1960s will also be delighted!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice collectors item October 25, 2012
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
I only bought one copy just to add it to my collection. I do play my records, but on a Pro-Ject turntable and both sides of this 45 sounded awesome. Also, what makes this product great is that not does the mono mix sound awesome, the record itself is of high quality, and the outer sleeve is sturdy although i always put my 45s in sleeves with plastic lining. But this is a must buy for any Beatles fan and is highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars 7" Love Me Do reissue December 10, 2012
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
I have always been an avid Beatles fan. I have some of their old albums issued on Capitol that are monophonic. I have an old Love Me Do 45 (American type with the large center hole), but have always wanted this version for my collection. Quality is excellent and the vinyl, label and sleeve are very accurate reproductions overall.

What is there to say. A classic song, re-released as close to the original as possible. A nostalgic piece of music that warrants listening to. Highly recommended.
