Editorial Reviews

Randy Meisner from the Poor to the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt to Poco, the voice the talent the compositions the performances are all captured in the release with some of the best musicians of the 1970's and 80's. Randy's songs have been covered by artist the world over and now Sonic Past Music brings you unreleased material dating back to Randy's prime performances ...his songwriting, singing and voice brings you his classics as well newly released songs bring you the sensitive and forceful side of this artist, again this release includes bonus tracks and liner notes unmatched by previous international releases.

While this is NOT the Randy Meisner album we've all been waiting on for more than twenty years, it's certainly GREAT to have it!

Consisting of "long-lost" tracks and a couple of tunes from the scant recording contibutions he's made with others over the years, this album is still a pure joy to listen to if you're a 'Randy fan'. Several FANTASTIC tracks interspersed with quite-enjoyable songs (especially when compared with the pablum the music industry serves up these days). My only quibble is that the liner-notes aren't extensive enough. I would love to know the scoop on ALL these songs. When and with whom they were recorded, what album (if any) they were intended for, etc. Regardless, I smiled the whole way through listening to this album for the first time. GREAT to have another Randy album, no matter the format.

Just about time these "forgotten" tracks were released.
Goes to show what Randy Meisner was able to do - IF he really stuck his neck out, so to speak.
Incredible tracks all together, really.
More hidden gems - anywhere ??
Also proves how important Meisner was to the Eagles.

This recording is for die hard Randy Meisner fans. Not his best songs but gives one a look at the thought process. Ya gotta write some okay tunes to work towards the better ones. Every muso out there has a batch of songs that may never see the light of day. However this is the creative process getting worked out. So for that this cd is worth a listen but ONLY for die hard fans of Randy Meisner.
Now How about a Bernie Leadon, Don Felder & Randy Meisner recording?
