5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Dive Into The Oblivion and Devine, April 15, 2003
By
This review is from: Love Metal +2 (Audio CD)
This is the best HIM album to date! I honestly tell you you have to have this album! This album is better than Razorblade Romance, Greatest Lovesongs, and Deep Shadows...this is a brilliant masterpiece that should be honored everywhere in every home. From the rocky tunes of "Buried Alive by Love" to the tender piano renditions of "The Sacrament" to the melancholic dream of "This Fortress of Tears" this album is great from here to the end. And make sure to listen to "Love's Requiem" the bonus track is an amazing 10 minutes long!... Definately worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, July 13, 2003

This review is from: Love Metal +2 (Audio CD)
in this time when it's so hard to find good music, HIM are definitely a light in the dark and they have proven this once more with this excellent album
Ville Valo writes about love in a beautiful and unique way in combination with touching melodies, somth for which, in my opinion, he doesn't get enough recognition
a more rockier album than the last one, and in this one it's pretty obvious the growth of the band
i strongly recommend this album, although every HIM album is beyond brilliance

Love Metal is bassically what you would expect from a band whos name is posted up about 300 times all over my house... they are extremely good. they have songs for when ur sad, chillin, mad, in love and when your just thinking about stuff... all praise him and people who think HIM's name means His Infernal Majesty your wrong.... why would it have been changed to HER for the US release.... His Infernal Majesty is the worst band ever... God Save Ville Valo...

Love Metal is an awesome CD, but it dont have all the greatness as Razorblade Romance or Dark Shadows, but I still give it 5 stars cause Im a huge HIM fan. However, if your just starting off listening to HIM, I would suggest you get Razorblade and work up from there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Damn Good Music, September 10, 2003

This CD well lives up to the H.I.M standards. Buried alive by love is by far one of the best songs this band has come out with, due to its intense vocals by Ville Valo, and insane drum beats you can turn it up as loud as possible and listen to it on repeat for hours. This CD is amazing from beginning to end, but I must say it is not the best we've seen from His Infernal Majesty. I deeply recommend it, you cant be a true fan without the complete works.

5.0 out of 5 stars the BEST cd ever!, August 13, 2003
This review is from: Love Metal +2 (Audio CD)
To start off, H.I.M. is the best goth rock band in the whole world. Their CDs show off their immense talent and their lyrics are downright beautiful!

Love Metal is their fourth CD and their best to date! Honestly, there is nothing wrong - we have a balanced CD, with slow songs and fast songs equally distributed, splendid lyrics and a voice that is so great!! Honestly Ville has the best voice I have ever heard from a rock star!

Buried alive by love - the fastest song on the album, and very catchy, by the end of the day you will be singing the chorus al the time!!

Funeral of hearts - who wouldnt know this song? as far as i am concerned, this is honestly the most beautiful song on the album! its very dreamy and almost surreal. Plus, Villes voice is so great in this song!

Beyond redemption - a catchy fast song, with great keyboards!

Sweet Pandemonium - a slow song, with a really nice chorus!

Soul on fire - a very fast song, with slow verses. i love the "bridge" especially!!

The sacrament - their third single off the album, great keyborads, villes voice is fantastic! check out the video too!!

fortress of tears - an incredible slow song, makes you wanna cry, its so emotional!

circle of fear- a very nice song with a catchy chorus!!

endless dark - great fast song, similar to beyond redemption and sacrament.

the path - i consider this song a bit of a filler, cuz its the last song, and over 7 minutes long, but its also nice!

this is my opinion on the album and i recommend it to everyone! Honestly, if you are into rock, metal, goth rock, or even pop, this album could be for you!!

this is one of the best cds i have owned. this def shows a growth in the band and what everyones influence is. it combines the hard metal edge of RBR and the sentimental lyrics of DSBH and throws in some awsome gutair riffs and BAM you have love metal. i would suggest this cd 2 ANYONE who will appriciate a awsome band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Metal, July 14, 2003

I remember being in a record store located in Franfurt, Germany in 1999. It was quite large and they played "For You" by HIM. Everybody stopped what they were doing and listened. That started my obsession to learn more about these Finnish rockers. I had the opportunity to see them in concert in St. Petersburg, Russia 2 years ago and I do not understand why the music industry doesn't push them over here. Love Metal is a little more polished than previous HIM CD's and you will enjoy.
