Book Description

April 1, 2007

Preserving little ones' treasured moments—without turning it into a chore—is possible in this heartwarming guide. Provides mothers, fathers, grandparents, relatives, and friends with the tools and inspiration to document the milestones and special memories of the children in their lives. Readers are encouraged to write letters, notes, and journal entries to their children recalling special events and moments they have experienced so they can pass it on to as a priceless gift when their children are older. Interviewing family members, talking to children about themselves, and writing small notes are just some of the ways the book explains that family members can document the precious youth of their children.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Journalist and life coach Siblin-Librach (The Toronto Wedding Handbook) presents this guidebook, suitable for anyone with a new baby in their life (but especially mom), to crafting heartfelt love letters to infants designed to preserve and give back "a piece of their memory they otherwise wouldn't have access to." With patience, much encouragement and numerous examples from her own letter collection, Siblin-Librach leads non-writers through the letter-writing process, providing "Magic Keys" to use as jumping-off points, suggestions for topics common to the child-rearing experience (shopping for maternity clothes, baby's first bath, the bedtime routine) and tips on technique (starting small, using humor, making regular appointments to write). Though reading it straight through may prove terminally repetitive, this slim volume makes a fine resource for parents looking to make a very personal record of their child's early years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Siblin-Librach inspires..., July 4, 2007
This review is from: Love, Mommy: Writing Love Letters To Your Baby (Hardcover)
I just finished reading Love, Mommy and I absolutely adored it! It made me cry. It made me laugh.....and it took me back to the time when my son was a baby and made me want to write all about the special memories and moments we shared together. I am so motivated to write love letters to my son and Judy Siblin-Librach's book makes me want to write notes or short paragraphs highlighting our special bond and his milestones. I highly recommend this book to every mom (and dad). I want everyone to get the chance to read this amazing book and have the great catharsis that I had. From a very inspired reader, Marlene.

5.0 out of 5 stars "I Want To Tell The Whole World About This Book", September 16, 2007

This review is from: Love, Mommy: Writing Love Letters To Your Baby (Hardcover)
"I want to tell the whole world about this book. Every mother should have Love, Mommy on her bedside table, because every mother will be deeply moved by Siblin-Librach's intimate stories of her own children's lives. This is one of the most honest books I have ever read and as a mother I can completely relate. The best part of Love, Mommy is that not only will it teach you how to write about your kids, it will inspire every mother to take a few minutes from her busy life and record those most precious moments of her children that she will never want to forget...a true treasure and a remarkable gift."
