This is definitely a feel good movie. Fox is good as a hotel conceirge who has a dream one day of owning his own hotel. His dream becomes interrupted when he falls for a clients' mistress played by Gabrielle Anwar.

While there are times in this movie that you are completely suspended in disbelief, I liked this movie. The chemistry between Fox and Anwar seems genuine and real. Fox's charisma shines really bright when he shares the dreams of his hotel with Anwar.

I probably will never own this movie, but it would be a great movie to rent and see it with that special someone in your life.

This is a fantstic movie. FOX and ANWAR are absoultley fantastic in this romantic comedy. Viewers will agree this movie has a 'feel' to it which a lot of movies (not just romantic comedies) fail to produce. I think it is a combination of the quality of writing and sonnenfelds directing with the Amazing proformances from not just the 2 stars but the supporting cast.

Oh yeah!!, one last thing this movie was VERY hard to find at AMAZON because Im from australia and this movie is called "The Conceirge" instead of "For Love or Money", i personally think the title "The concerige" sounds better because "For Love or Money" sounds like any romantic song or movie. However with the title "The concerige" the title spaces it out from the rest, which a movie like this should because this movie is simply amazing.

The professional critics hated this film, so it can't be all bad! In fact, it provides an excellent background on which Micheal J. Fox showcases his talent. A great supporting cast and a fun plot make this entire film a gem you'll want to watch again and again. It sure ain't film noir. Eat your heart out, Mr. Maltin!!!

If you liked "The Secret of my Success" then you will like this movie. Working in hotels I find I have an added fondness for this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone, especially if you are a Michael J Fox fan.

It's one of those movies you can pop in your VCR when you have had a tough day. You can watch it and scarf ice cream and know that by the end of the film the world will work itself out. All you have to do is sit back and watch.. I recomend this movie to hopeless romantics everywhere!

I have always enjoyed all Michael J Fox movies. For Love Or Money has a good story line and intrigue throughout the movie. His playful character combines seriousness with some lighthearted humour similar to the movie The Secret Of My Sucess.

It is a good movie to watch after a hard day's work at the office.

I agree with the other reviewers on this page. This movie creates a "feel" that others have failed to replicate since. Watching this movie makes me feel like I'm floating in a fantasy world, the posh New York lifestyle in Manhattan and the Hamptons. I agree with another reviewer that it's the ultimate feel-good movie, after a bad day, you can just pop this dvd in and feel all your worries melt away. I love this movie, makes me fantasise about being rich and famous in New York, again I just can't explain that magical "feel" to this movie that other movies seem to lack.

This movie is also something of a visual feast! One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen -- the scenery is spectacular! It's like watching a painting or a series of fashion magazine photo shoots in glamorous locations. The cinematography is beautiful -- simply breathtaking!

This is one of the films that I most remember Fyvush Finkel for. One would think that name would not be hard to forget, but this is one of his best in my opinion. Michael J. Fox has long been one of my favorite actors ever since the Back to the Future trilogy, and "For Love or Money" is one of the reasons why. He gives a stellar performance in this film, just as he did in Doc hollywood and The Secrets To My Success. I enjoyed watching this film over and over again since I first bought it some years ago now. It is packed with lighthearted drama and comedy that is sure to satisfy most anyone just looking for a good entertaining film. It is a very well writting screenplay, the casting is terrific as is the acting, and it will hold your attention right up to the end.It might not have won an academy award, but it is certainly worth a watch. I highly recommend it.

The best being "Back to the Future", of course. However, this is by far the most underrated Fox movie, despite having memorable characters, clever plots, and a genuinely sweet spirit. A MUST-SEE for a Michael J. Fox fan.

This is an amazing movie it is not populsr to the media because it deals with more than superfical subjects than sexual romance. When your heart goes the mind will follow. When Barry goes or finally becomes a legend this movie will be remembered as his sleeper thrust from the bizzare things he has done. Shall we conjure up his other wako things/ Addams Family series and now the Multi-million(almost Billion) dollar flop WILD! WILD! WEST. This is good ! His first almost real movie. Kudos Barry keep it up
