Book Description

Nashville sizzles in the summer.

Nashville Homicide Detective Tess O'Malley has a lot to prove. She comes from a long line of police officers, including her father and older brothers. First she and her partner are taken off a high profile case and sidelined with a cold case instead. After reviewing the files, she's certain her cold case is connected to the current one, and she sets out to prove it. Too bad it means locking horns with a handsome PI who could win her heart and derail her career.

Scott Holt is all business when it comes to running his family's PI firm. When the lovely Detective O'Malley comes to question him about his possible involvement in her cold case, he has everything but business on his mind. Like locking lips with the fiery redhead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Me If You Can August 17, 2010

Review courtesy of Sizzling Hot Books

Love Me If You Can is a great combination of romance and murder mystery. Both romance lovers and mystery lovers will find what the want in Love Me If You Can

I found Tess to be a determined character. She is an ambitious career cop, and is determined to make Captain by forty. I enjoyed how goal oriented Tess was, but she didn't think relationship and children fit into her life. At the beginning I wished that she could combined both her job, and some romance into her life. Life is boring with out romance is my belief.

But by far Scott was my favorite character. I loved that he was willing to give up law school to raise his sister, and step siblings when his father and stepmother was killed in an accident. Instead of going to law school he took over his father's private investigation business. I also loved that he wanted the whole picket fence dream, so much for that just being a women's dream.

I loved that throughout Love Me If You Can we are able to see things from the serial killers perspective. I found it to be very interesting to read about the serial killer's planning and reminiscing.

Overall Love Me If You Can is a fast paced read that will keep your attention until the last page. It is the perfect book for both romance and mystery lovers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good romantic suspense February 24, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the story about a female cop who is very career oriented and a strong P.I. who dropped out of law school to take care of his brothers and sisters when his parents died. The H and h are very likeable characters. The relationship is a little fast, at least on his side. The h isn't sure she can commit to a relationship and still make her career goals. However, for me at least the romance took a little bit of a backseat to the story itself. It gave you plenty of suspense, possible killers and incorporated the killer's point of view which I really liked. It had a good story, suspenseful moments and it wasn't too obvious. I'm honestly not sure why I didn't love this book. I didn't connect with it like I thought I would considering I liked the plot and the characters. It took me almost 4 days to get through the book which is a long time for me. However, I really liked Scott's character and his interactions with his family so if the next book is about one of his siblings I will probably give it a try to see if I can connect a little better.

4.0 out of 5 stars A strong female cop and a handsome P. I ... July 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
A strong female cop and a handsome P.I.. It doesn't take much to realize they are going to come together. Then we get caught up in their hunt for a serial killer. 70%. Suspense 30% sex ( the extra steamy kind) and a budding romance woven all throughout.

Format:Kindle Edition
Love Me If You Can is in Love on the Edge:Nine Shades of Romantic Suspense and yes I can love you! It was fantastic. I really enjoyed Scott and Tess's relationship/no relationship, indecisiveness, the mystery and suspense of who-done-it, and all the supporting characters. I absolutely could not put it down. ~Dianne Wagner

I couldn't put the book down. I loved the story line as well as the romance. I took it to work to read on break and I believe I broke my personal record on length of time to finish a book. It was spectacular. I kept it so that I can read it again
