an electro-ode to depeche mode!!!, December 20, 2005

Electronic artist David Guetta has the dark, moody, narcissistic Depeche Mode feeling down pat on "In Love With Myself." His droning deep vocals sound like a cross of David Gahan and Martine Gore, and the mixes are mostly in the hands of some of the biggest mixers around. My personal favorites are the Benassi micx and the Guetta and Garraud mix, but all 5 remixes are electro-house bliss. And, although it's not listed, it's sort of like there's a "bonus mix"--but I'm guessing this mix is the album version, and it has a great classic new wave sound to it.
