Definitely his best,

I was not a fan of Kaskade's slower songs from his last two albums. I understand that coming with Om, there is a certain lounginess that must be upkept, but it wasn't a facet of his music that I enjoyed. This album is a lot more like the song "Everything", while using some new elements he found between then and now. I really like "Be Still", "Stars Align", the quirky "All You", "Sorry"...in fact, there isn't much of the album I *don't* like.
I have one quibble. I work at a record store, and our stock had some sort of error that MAY be mirrored elsewhere. The tracklisting printed on the back did not match that which was on the disc itself. I had to play "match-up" by listening to my disc, and then to the labeled tracks on iTunes. Here is the tracklisting I have. 1. Stars Align 2. All You 3. Be Still 4. Distance 5. The X 6. Fake 7. Sometimes 8. In This Life 9. Sorry 10. Never Ending 11. 4am Just in case anyone is listening to a song they don't quite think matches the title. All in all I give this album a big, heavy B++

Excellent album. The best song is "Sorry". "Be Still" is another great track, they should of grabbed the extended version of "Be Still" from the CD Single on placed it on the album, that version blows everything away. Sorry OM Records, you should of kept Kaskade. :-)

Outstanding Music,
This review is from: Love Mysterious (Audio CD)
After Here and Now, I became a huge fan of Kaskade. This album was one of the greatest I heard yet. The first 4 tracks caught me by my seat, its awesome music to race by booming in your care sterio system. Track 1-4,10 and 11 are my favorites. Especially track 4 had this hard yet soft drum and bass beat with the most angelic, meaningful vocal and meaningful lyrics. If you are a music lover this album is a must have.

guilty pleasures as Kaskade paints with a new more mainstream palate,

Claire had this to say when she reviewed an advance copy of this album for RAVES.COM/DJFIX.COM.... "Forget you are listening to Kaskade. The Kaskade you knew. With preconceptions & expectations dropped, your mind is open to the guilty pleasure of pretty male vocals floating in, "See the stars align," on the opening track on Kaskade's latest artist album, due out in September on (shocker here) Ultra Records. Even if you can forget, that though won't likely prepare you for this collection of reminisces to early 90s sugary pop dance (we used to call this Eurodance) with soaring synths and teen-pleasing bouncy kicks and claps. Kaskade wiped his musical palate clean when he sat down to create this collection. Even the reworkings of his classics (a remix of "In this Life," , "Distance," and "Fake") are kicked up a euro notch - one that I could have done without. If you read a slight tinge of disappointment, that's wishing: Couldn't he have come up with a few more originals instead? What happened to the sultry subdued vibe? Well, its three years old to start... and if that's really what you're hoping to hear, you should pick up his two disk retrospective instead of this album. However, if you can just follow into this new dimension which Ryan Raddon (the genius behind Kaskade) is exploring, ignoring boundaries of genres and time, stepping out of the dark underground house club and into the mega-event stadium, then you'll get it. Youl'll get "All You" with its Ultra-pleasing retro-tingled repetitive Atari pulsing. Give in to the canned "clap, clap-clap" fantasy, and so "Sorry" you won't be. You may however, be torn between enjoyment for this bold departure from his signature San Francisco house sound, and nostalgia for the Kaskade you loved. Take my advice: let this one sit in your stereo. Clear you mind and then the fun that is this record can really begin."

The gorgeous album cover only hints at the beauty found inside. This is essential for anyone who loves music. It is genre-defying. Kaskade just kills it on this one.

4 AM alone makes this CD worth it,

I'm a big Kaskade fan and this CD is probably the most consistent he has done. With the deep house synths and choruses he definitely steps it up in the anthemic department, and produces some truly transcendent moments. 4 AM and Distance in particular are just beautiful songs. If you have ever been separated from your significant other Distance will be quite poignant. And I think 4 AM may be one of my top 10 songs ever. Every remix and breakdown of it is great. Kaskade is blazing a trail and I hope he can resist the lure of true dance music superstar, because that usually involves descent into trance, crowd pleasing generica. Kaskade is unique and soulful, and some of his best moments are captured here. Also, check out the video of 4 AM filmed with a live band, I got it from itunes. EPIC.

the track 'In this Life' prompted me to buy this album - what a pleasure. Beautiful tracks - nice vocals. The listed tracking on the cd package is wrong but other wise, a nice treat.

This is a CD that a lot of people can like. Every track has vocals and it's the energized kind of house that won't make you doze off. Highly recommended.

Outstanding album, Kaskade is moving forward,
This review is from: Love Mysterious (Audio CD)
I can see how there would be some who wouldn't like this album. It's not like the older Kaskade albums. I think it had more energy and punch. I prefer this style of music. This will make you tap your feet. Older Kaskade albums are good to use as a sleep aid in comparison. The entire album is filled with terrific tracks. You won't find yourself skipping over any "stinkers". If Kaskade continues along this path he can expect to have me as a fan for some time.
