2.0 out of 5 stars Some Beautiful Sentiments, but Very New Agey
I sought this book after the loss of my daughter, based on a recommendation from someone. I'm a devout Christian, and this book is a little too 'new-agey' for me. It's even endorsed by John Edward, the 'psychic medium.' I can identify with a few of her sentiments in the first two parts (on Losing and Seeking), but part 3 delves into topics such as 'mediumship,'...

Riveting, Awe Inspiring, and quite simply, "A Must Read" - You won't want to put this one down! Since my Son's untimely and tragic death, I have read quite a few books...anything that I could grab hold of, to help me through this trying time in my life. And while each and everyone of them have helped in their own way, nothing quite touched my heart as this book, by Sandy Goodman. For anyone who has lost anyone, especially a child, this book can help you to learn, to open your heart, to open your mind, and simply to understand that the love and bond, between a Mother or a Father, and their Child, is so much stronger than you ever could imagine. It helps you to learn and to guide you through the roller coaster that you will be riding, as your journey through grief and the healing process begins. In reading this book, the lesson I learned was that the journey with my Son is not over, it's just barely getting started. It helped me to realize that I'm not grasping at straws in order to keep his memory alive. I think that Sandy Goodman has stated it quite plainly...."Love Never Dies".

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Never Dies, January 8, 2003

After my daughter passed in June 2002 I could not understand why at some moments I was still able to feel the same relationship of Love and Closeness that my daughter and I had always shared. It was as if she was still with me. There were times of deep sorrow mostly but there was always that profound Love. It wasn't until I ended up on Sandy Goodman's website somehow and she so thoughtfully replied to me that I was guided to this miraculous healing book and understood why.

It was everything I needed and more. It validated Love is eternal. Love truly never dies and it was Sandy Goodman I have to thank for bringing me to this realization through the words of her son Jason. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let Yourself Believe That Which You Already Know, April 8, 2002
This review is from: Love Never Dies: A Mother's Journey from Loss to Love (Hardcover)
I thank Sandy for sharing her journey from devastating sorrow to bountiful love. Sandy has opened her heart, with the help of Jason, to conquer the status quo concepts of death. She has overcome the barricade of the veil to see life on the other side. I have not, thanks be to God, lost a child to spirit, but I have "lost" many close to me. This book is not a band-aid for grief. It is a solution to accept death and remember the life of your loved ones without the guilt of feeling the grief or the guilt often felt when expressing to others the celebration of life of those you grieve.

You are reading this review. How did you come upon this page and read these reviews? Because you are reading this review shows enough character representation/validation to order the book and find those whom you think you have "lost." . For those who already believe in life after death, the different facets of this book show the other angles of spirit beyond the physical organic body.

A simulation of life, death and spirit I use is how each of us view the various ever-changing colors we see in a prism or how we observe a rainbow. Would you prefer to know that the rainbow is a bunch of dirt and water? Would you prefer to believe that your loved one is six feet under and that is the end of a person you have loved as they have loved you?

Would you prefer to believe your loved one is with you even after the physical body has given out? Your mind has told you your loved ones are with you. They are with you in your spirit, your thoughts and your deeds. It is okay that you can still love them. It is okay to acknowledge them.

This book is bursting with love and sharing. I recommend Love Never Dies inclusive of those that have or are mourning the loss of their loved ones, and also to those persons who know there is more to those "coincidences" than meets the eye.

Allow yourself to go to the "inner" beyond, to the "minds eye" and acknowledge and validate those of yours, in spirit and in life. Peace and love to you, reader. May you be helped on your journey.

Thank you Sandy and Jason for your wise words. There are no coincidences--this book has helped me on my spiritual journey to connect with my precious nephew even more. The poetry made me cry, but was also healing. Jason, catch the bubbles and smile as they are sent your way!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Gem - A MUST Read, March 12, 2002
By

This review is from: Love Never Dies: A Mother's Journey from Loss to Love (Hardcover)
"Love Never Dies" is one of those books you simply can't put down. While the title might suggest an audience of those dealing with loss and grief, in fact, this book holds the key to so many unanswered questions for anyone on the path of spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Sandy Goodman's book seems to be the link that ties the pieces of so many other spiritual voices together in words that are plain, but inspire vivid images; each more encompassing as you come closer to the end of the book. When you have soaked in the poignancy of the last page, you will truly understand the very essence of love - all that it is and all that it entails.

Even more than understanding grief or the true nature of love, those interested in developing their psychic abilities benefit from this book as well. Through both Sandy's and Jason's explanations of After Death Communications (ADC), you come to understand the process and in doing so you are given the confidence necessary to forge ahead by yourself if you so desire. This isn't an instruction manual for those skills per se, but an easy "learning by example" text. For those of you who have struggled so long in the hopes of making your own connection with a passed loved one, the insights you will receive about the communication process will open your eyes and lift your spirits.

Not only will this book touch your heart in the same way John Edward brings those he is reading to deep joyful tears, but Jason's shining personality will turn you completely around and have you smiling seconds later over cherished moments between he and his mother.

If you have lost a child or a loved one, this is an incredible book that absolutely MUST be read. But if you are only interested in the processes of After Death Communications (ADC), developing your own psychic skills, or plain spiritual growth, this work is laced with gems throughout; each another valuable piece of the puzzle of that is the bigger picture of the other side. It is a book you will definitely want to share with loved ones and acquaintances, and anyone you know who has suffered the pain of loss and grief. This is one you'll want to keep on your bookshelf forever.

Bravo Sandy.....written straight from the heart and soul of
a mother searching to find her way back from the deepest
darkest depths.... of grief. This book will help all those
grieving to find their path through this darkness. There is
another side to grief.... it does finally end... knowing that
Others made it through give those struggling.... strength to get there.
Once we accept what our soul always knew... we can move on with what is left of our earthly life. Grief is a war that has to be fought every Day... knowing that our children are alive, well and living in heaven
doesn't make the "missing them" any easier... Sharing this path
through grief does....
As one of the bereaved parents chat hosts at
ADC website... I've heard many tragic stories...but the ones that gnaws at my soul...are the ones that truly think their child is "dead".
I want to thank Sandy for a superbly written first hand account that life does go on.

5.0 out of 5 stars For anyone having to cope with sudden and unexpected loss, December 12, 2002
This review is from: Love Never Dies: A Mother's Journey from Loss to Love (Hardcover)
Love Never Dies: A Mother's Journey From Loss To Love is the memoir of Sandy Goodman, a mother of twin sons, who lost one when he was 18 due to an accidental electrocution. Love Never Dies is a compelling and heartfelt story of learning to bear terrible loss, and of finding ways to remember the joy and happiness a loved one brought without being overwhelmed in grief. Love Never Dies is profound in its subject, moving in its presentation, and very highly recommended reading -- especially for anyone having to cope with the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one.

Love Never Dies is one of the best and most unique grief books that I have read. I began reading as many books as I could get my hands on 6 years ago after the death of my daughter. I would recomment this book to anyone who is wondering about where their child is after his/her death, and what they are doing. It is for grief, learning of continuing life after death, and even can make you smile a bit while in the depths of grief. It is a must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars The spirit that keeps on giving!, June 4, 2002

This review is from: Love Never Dies: A Mother's Journey from Loss to Love (Hardcover)
"Love Never Dies" was written by a woman I admire who through her pain and sorrow was able to be a beacon of light to so many who believe that when we pass we cease to exist. Through Jason's very much alive spirit, he continues to teach us and show us that his life was not in vain but one of great purpose and meaning. Jason and Sandy both are teachers of the human spirit and how it can endure the most horrific pain and touch us with the most tender love and light. If all of us could see and understand that when we pass we still have so much to share and give to those of us who still live on this earth. The journey continues, the life goes on, and the lessons are being learned. Life is infinite...love never dies and the more we embrace that concept, the less fear we will have, and the need for labeling will diminish. Thank you Jason and Sandy for being the great spiritual tag team you are. You have opened the hearts and minds of many who were searching for a voice where there was none. You helped them to find their voice and that it the greatest gift of all.
