This review is from: Love Next Door (Love Inspired #294) (Mass Market Paperback)
Amanda and Pete are wounded spirits who find themselves next-door neighbors for the summer. These protagonists are likable people who arouse a lot of empathy as they recover from their respective deep personal trauma. Without being overbearing or preachy, they illustrate the important lesson that the best way to keep yourself from falling into an abyss of depression is to immerse yourself in busy work helping someone else. I love this author's style of writing, particularly her descriptive and detailed use of language and her natural dialogue. The camp for troubled youth provided an interesting setting, and the crime drama provided depth and demension to the story.
