When daycare teacher, Miss Tina meets widowed father Zac and his four year old son, Justin, her life changes forever. As she takes the scared little boy under her wing, she immediately falls head over hills in love...with both of them! But she can never have Zac's heart because she has a terrible secret. Her past is hidden from everyone, and must never be revealed!!!This book is the best of the Serenity series so far (but I still have three more to read). It is book three of the series and another stand alone book. So far, none of the previous characters are mentioned. I beginning to wonder why these books were put in a series since the author didn't even relate any of the previous stories. In fact, it seems all three books have been set in different towns. I loved Zac and the way he resolved everything at the end. I think these two needed each other and complimented each other. And of course I loved the dog and cat!

Valerie Hansen has done it again. I love the way she has made up the little Arkansas city of Serenity and caused it to come alive in her books.Having them all set in and around Serenity gives the reader a wonderful sense of "knowing" the people there. Some are so typical of the Ozarks that it gives you a true sense of "meeting" new folks. Then you run into secondary characters again in another of Val's great stories and it is just like running into old friends! This book is no exception, and I really enjoyed it. |
