Every so often, something very special comes along, that surprises us in ways we never would have expected. So is the case with the new album release from Cat Beach called "Love Me Out Loud". It's difficult enough for a new artist to break onto the scene - particularly when only one or two song offerings are even barely listenable.

However, if you love good music...particularly music with a message and a meaning, and brilliantly performed, you're gonna love this one! With the compilation album: "Love Me Out Loud", we are immensely rewarded with what essentially amounts to a winner - a true "grand slam" all the way around.

I discovered Cat Beach purely by accident one day, while surfing the web looking for new music. I enjoy a mix of R&B, Jazz, and Country; and incredibly this album has it all. It's a combination of refreshingly written material, coupled with the additional vibrant, soulful, sensual and sassy sounds, which meld together in an eclectic mix that features everything - even the patriotic soul stirring rendition of "Stand Up America".

Together, that's the incredible talent served up with this tasty treat.
Cat Beach instantly pushes your emotional buttons with an ability not often found in a newly just discovered artist - and she does it comfortably and consistently throughout the entire album.

Every song is wonderful, and can stand on its own. However, it soon becomes apparent that there's an underlying story here - one of pain and desire, but also one of hope and happiness. This album collectively gains high merits for bringing to the listener what essentially amounts to: "Ear Candy for the Soul".

The lyrics are superbly written...the arrangement excellent...the production quality nothing short of amazing.

Love Me Out Loud

What a great album! Cat's got an amazing set of talents - voice, lyrics, hooks, - she's amazing, and she's everything you hear on this album.

It's hard to classify her as one specific genre, she's got a little blues, a little country, some indie, and some pop.

Aside from her own talent, she's got Dean Parks, Lee Sklar, and Herman Matthews as well. Dean is amazing with the intricate leads and twists, Lee Sklar is awesome on bass - and he's why you buy good bass speakers, and Herman Matthews is tight on drums and percussion.

They all made up a dream team and you will not be disappointed. One thing about Cat's music is that you find it running through your mind even when you're not actually playing it on a real music player! (Every musicians' dream, right?)

Her music touches your heart and soul and this album is destined to be a classic! Cat's roots in music go back to hanging around Dave Matthews in Charlottesville when he was starting out - she's one of his earliest fans, and you will see it definitely had an influence on her!

Cat's got her own website at [...] for more information.

Cat's unique voice and profound lyrics are amazing. And the album itself has such an exquisite, rich sound.
This is so much more than just a country album. I appreciate some country music - but Cat Beach and her band have done something truly special here.
And if you love beautiful classic songwriting, strong vocals and impeccable musicianship you should definitely check out this album.
Every song is a gem. The whole album just flows - I continue to play it over and over.
'Risk Me' is so tender and heartfelt, truly a beautiful song.
'Your Given Road' is a soul searching spiritual masterpiece.
'Love Me Out Loud' and 'Whole New Thang' rock! Cat and her band are just smokin'.
'What Loves All About' is also another classic - so melodic and sweet - this song just makes me feel good.
'Mercy of Your Hands' is haunting and lovely at the same time. Excellent!
And what a brilliant remake of 'Big Yellow Taxi'.
This album just feels right.
Consider me a new fan!

Cat Beach's "Love Me Out Loud" brings with it the weathered sounds of a country porchswing along with the promise of a summer Saturday night. While sounding new and fresh, Cat is able to capture the sounds of the past with the hope, love and hearache of of someone whose wandered their given road. Simply, this collection of music lives...and breathes and makes you feel alive.

There are individual tracks that stand out (Your Given Road, Burning Up The Years and Risk Me), it's the collection of these songs on Love Me Out Loud that yield magic. Sounding stunningly, at times, like Mary Chapin Carpenter or the occasional hint of Bonnie Raitt, Cat gives us a new companion for an array of occasions and allows us to feel the comfort of friendship when the lights go out and her music is turned up.
