Chris has done it again with the release of his new CD, Love & Paragraphs.
He never ceases to amaze me with the depth of his music and he always touches my soul as no other artist can. Every time I think he can't get any better, he up and proves me wrong. Congratulations, Chris, for a truely inspiration CD.

"Love and Paragraphs" is played over and over by me with a grooving enjoyment, particularly when I float down Lake Shore Drive here in Chicago! I don't understand why a few of the cuts are not being played much on the Smooth Jazz stations? "Have Your Cake and Eat" IS the "Stepper Jam" (if you understand what I mean, Steppers!). The rest of the CD is sharp as well!

I bought the CD for the 1 song "Love & Paragraphs" that I hear on my satellite radio! OMG I love that song! The CD was great! I have several new favorites now along with "Love & Paragraphs"! Chris Standring is now one of my top artists! phonea2k

The is an incredible piece of music. Standring was new to me. The music is hauntingly beautiful. Masterful work.

You are asking Dennis for a review, but I'm Joyce, Dennis' wife, and I'm the one who ordered this CD. A large part of the day, Dennis listens to a lovely Seattle jazz channel. I work at home and it makes a nice background to typing all day. But a particular piece stood out from the rest. I stopped typing every time it played, and I wanted to hear it over and over--we loved it. So, I tracked down the name and performer, and it was Love & Paragraphs by Chris Standring. Thanks for making it so easily available. Good price. Good delivery time. We're happy!!!

I have several jazz guitarist and I had never heard of Chris Standring until hearing him on the radio. Checked him out on "All Music Guide", listened to some cuts and then bought this and the even better "Soul Express". I if you like Norman Brown then buy this CD. He will not disappoint you.

This is one of the best CDs I have purchased in a while. I've recommended this to a fellow smooth jazz listener and would recommend this to anyone that wants a nice upbeat guitar sound. The CD also has some soft and slow tunes that are very nice. I am going to be purchasing a few more of Chris Standring's Love and Paragraphs as gifts to friends.

I waited over (2) months after hearing a cut from this C D before it was released and I could purchase it.
The wait was worth it. The title cut and other cuts feature excellent guitar work and catchy melodies.

Several folks have said "once again", so I may as well too. "Once again", Chris delivers the goods, this time with some serious cool. We're talking a Sunday drive/bar-b-que in back groove. (Not in the back of your car folks, LOL) Tight funky sounds and laid back chill are what's happening here, so your enjoyment starts from the opening number, "Qwertyuiop", and continues as you weave your way through a set that I'm very proud to own. So! By the time that combination doubles up and hits ya on the truly superb "Liquid Soul", you're left with no alternative but to acknowledge that within the genre of smooth jazz, this is one heck of a CD, though there's still five more top quality sounds waiting to bend your ear. Show him some love.
